I've never watched it but I consider Silence of the Lambs and Philadelphia to be fantastic films so, based on that alone, I am excited to watch Married To the Mob. Love the slip, and the stills in the product listing look really nice, too.

Looking forward to receiving the box and giving it a spin.

Naturally, we tried for Michelle multiple times. Sometimes you hit jackpot like we did with Jeff on RANCHO, often times not. One star and one movie have not much to do with another, though. You can bet that we will reach out to everyone significant for any given film, but the chances are slim when we’re talking about an actor or filmmaker who is still working and at the level that a Pfeiffer still is.

As our friend the KL Insider has probably explained on his thread, the price that the studio places on UHD rights, even for a riskier title like this one, plus scanning and UHD grading and mastering costs, make it financially untenable.

Thank you for your response, and of course I will get it (you didn't have to ask ). I just didn't want this to be one of those situations that 8 months later FCE would release it on 4k. (I am not made out of money!!!) Not saying that FCE would do or has done this in past.

And again, thank you for your transparency (I know you don't have to give an answer to our silly questions!) You guys @ FCE are doing a really good job!

Married to the Mob is only the second FCE title I've heard of prior to its announcement. A nice slate of extras. I'm always happy to add more Jonathan Demme to my collection.

As it gets harder and harder to parse out what’s limited and what will likely be sale-priced further down the road, can we get some clarification about the FCE standard releases? Are any of them limited edition, or should we expect them to be available for years? I believe only the VS exclusive slipcover editions are limited, but I could be wrong. Thanks.

The standard editions are limited only by the length of the term with the rights holder. Those term lengths vary from film to film and rights holder to rights holder. None of those terms are indefinite.

Essentially, if there's something you know you'll want to own at some point, your best chance to own it is to not delay long in buying it...unless you don't mind paying an inflated secondary market price.

I wonder who will be spotlighted for the partner focus month in September and going forward. Not sure if they know ahead of time, but there is a chance FCE gets in there before the BF sale

*Married to the Mob" -- I like Fun City and want the company to be successful. However, their top people need to seriously reevaluate the work of the party that is color grading their releases. They have been so problematic it almost feels like someone is trying to sabotage their newly remastered titles. You can get away with this type of work on some low-budget Vinegar releases, but not on big studio films that people have seen and know very well.

The new grade for "Married to the Mob" absolutely, positively does not look right. Cyan spikes give the film a wild neon-esque appearance that makes it look like a digital project.

Why does this continue to happen?

Rancho Deluxe looks horrendous, too. How can you look at this grade and think that this is actually a film that was shot in 1975? It is bad guessing work and it needs to stop.

The Coca-Cola Kid is another big misfire. First, someone drained the colors almost to neutral, then pushed contemporary primaries to make it look cold and anemic. It is awful.
