Relatively simple, I know, but I think it's looking good so far. As soon as I get rid of the weird line on the left, I think the cover will be mostly done. Then I'll do the spine, back, and inner flaps. I've never liked the simple blue or green designs of most the DVD and Blu releases anyway.

I'd love to hear what you all think.

I like it! I've always felt Ernie Hudson never got enough credit, too. I think they brought him into the first movie a bit too late. At least he got more screen time in the second movie, though.

I met him several years ago, and he was very nice to everybody. He even posed with a bunch of cosplayers, donning one of their proton-packs for a group shot. Here's an 8x10 from "The Crow" he signed for me back then...

looks good!

just nitpicking, but no extras on the back? that open white space seems like its crying for some attention. maybe if the write up was a bigger font and filled it in some more? just my thoughts.

The extras they have added is I think it is 10 min intro with francis ford copola.

No. I haven't. I've started working on multiple things recently. So much that I forget to work on things I need finished.

I suggest free font sites such as 1001Fonts and DaFont instead of using the same ones. Imandix too. Also most current versions of PhotoShop, Illustrator and InDesign. I'm a Windows person and not an Apple one. What matters most is hardware and the know-how.

@RebelPrince - Your covers are nice but one minor detail. Planes is not from Pixar.

also, to go along with what Ray Rogers has noted, check out FanArt for great logos to use on your covers. they also have some high res pics sometimes! here is the link to all the different Godzilla title logos and such.

I'm still trying to figure it out myself!

Off the top of my head...

-watch your leading (space between lines) and kerning (space between words)

-when in doubt, leave it blank (white space can be a powerful thing... http://www.logoorange.com/white-space.php)

-real logos (Dolby, DTS, the studios, etc.)

-typefaces that aren't gimicky
