i was reading earlier (not on this board) that some people were saying it was all a lie and he was leaving because of the issues currently going on at the school.

but he was diagnosed earlier this year with lymphoma. and he needs more aggressive treatment that a head coaching job wouldn't allow. therefore he's stepping down so he can get the treatment he needs.

Mark Stoops should not be a head coach period. The 2 conference wins seems like a life time ago I imagine.

Stoops is fine, he just doesn't have much to work with. The conference wins are still fresh, considering the only SEC team we could beat was Vandy, so getting 2 this season is HUGE. Now we have to win next week and beat your dirty birds. Looks like we are going 5-7.

Things in the open coach market are going to get really interesting if Texas and Charlie Strong do indeed part ways after the season.

We had a good showing tonight, even though it was against a horrible team, but it was enough to build our confidence up. I think we can beat Louisville next week. Let's go bowling!
