I was bored at work yesterday so I decided to visit the earliest threads for fun (the earliest ones date back to 2009 I think). Lots of members who no longer post or were banned and mods I've never heard of. So that got me thinking, how long before we get sick and tired of posting on these forums and disappear completely? I've been a regular poster since 2012 and love participating on the various threads and forums so I don't think I'll suffer from Blu-ray.com fatigue anytime soon. Anyone else?

I used to shop at Ken Cranes Laserdisc, so, you know, nothing last forever.

I'm just happy that my money has returned to my account - thanks to whoever tried to transfer my money out of my account. But now I have to pay bills.

I wonder the same thing. I've been here for 3 and a half years. It could be any day that I decide to stop coming here. We never really know or plan on it.

Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn. My right emergency hearing aid took awhile to power on today, was almost worried it was dead. Amazing they still turn on, think I've had them since 2003.

Last night I was watching TV and my right AirPod ran out of battery, and I suddenly only heard sound out of my left ear. I’m not really sure why the right ran out of power but the left didn’t.

Maybe you didn't know but, some women enjoy being noticed by men. I've been busted more than once. Why do they look back to see if I'm looking? Why do they spend so much time and effort to look so damn beautiful? I don't really care but I like what I see.
The women in that sub-forum are the same as the women I see in every day life. They're just not famous actresses.
I occasionally look at the women there, but I'm no basement dwelling virgin. With your aversion to beautiful women, you'r more likely to be that, than I am.

"dark, disgusting and sad place".
Overly dramatic much?

i guess some people think it's wrong and/or a crime to look at beautiful women; whether in real life or on the internet. i know women who look at guys they think are good looking, for the same reasons. is there a double standard that they can look but we can't?

Yes, there is.

Not so long ago it was considered a compliment to say that a woman was beautiful, now it is considered an outrage to suggest it. It's also an outrage to suggest that a woman isn't beautiful. It's like using "virgin" as an insult to men who find women beautiful: you are bad for sexualizing women, and a loser for not having sex with one. It seems like the world has gone insane sometimes.

This is a very difficult subject because it's not necessarily a black and white issue.

A man shouldn't get upset and indignant if he tells a woman she's beautiful on say a train, if she dismisses or ignores his compliments. You can't say that 10 compliments from 10 different people would all be genuine/innocent and not sexualized especially in our social climate. The problem is when a guy escalates it and turns into creep mode.

Since we're sort of on the subject, anyone ever visit the entertainment website TV Line? Lately they've been posting all sorts of stories on Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein, Brett Kavanaugh, etc., which is fine, but... when it comes to Allison Mack, it's radio silence. Pretty blatant double standard there.

Bill Cosby - Comedy legend, in the business for 50 years.
Harvey Weinstein - Powerful film producer, in the business for over 30 years

Brett Kavanaugh - Possible lifelong position to the Supreme Court

Allison Mack - C level actress

That's it right there, if Mack was an A list actress/celebrity, it would probably be mentioned more. In other words, the difference isn't gender, it's the position of the people.

More than zero? So it's not a big enough story for TV Line, but it is for Rolling Stone?

You could've just said you don't read TV Line. Allison Mack was written about all the time (they really love CW shows on that site), then it suddenly stopped when the NXIVM news came out. One of their writers even chastised someone in the comment section for bringing it up.

I don't read TV line, but if you're asking why stories about Cosby, Weinstein and Kavanaugh are getting more traction than Mack, saying it's the level of their "celebrityism" regardless if the site loves CW shows isn't a wild theory.

oh no, shocking
seriously what did you expect? How many Kathleen Willey or Juanita Broaddrick stories have you ever seen? Or for that matter Kathy Shelton or Paula Jones? You know why.

Sounds like a few of us grew up around the same time. I love a woman with curves based on the women I grew up with on tv & film. So I’ve got no problem with the appreciation threads as much as I do the double standards with some of the members in them. You can’t call the latest Hollywood scandal a scumbag if you’re pine scum yourself.
