if i came across as being an ass, you have my apologies. i didn't mean it like that. i was just making a statement, in general.

you seem to be a good person who would do the right thing. and i can understand not having enough money for things like that. you have a plan, which is good. so you get a check in the "he's good people" column from me.

yeah, some of their stuff can be a bit pricey. i have a pair of their fire hose work pants. those things are basically indestructible. i've had them for a few years and they don't have any rips or tears in them. and i abuse them when i wear them. and i figured a jacket made of the same material that was lined and with a hood would be a good thing to have when i'm out in the cold.

Are there any charities which can help? In the UK we have the Blue Cross who help people out with vet treatment who can't otherwise afford it. I wasn't sure if there was an equivalent where you live.

In the past few years I've taken in many cats. I currently have 8 though the latest one I would really love to find a home for. I've had all who weren't spayed or neutered when they found me fixed. The last 2 adults to come to me (both male ginger cats) had infected wounds on one of their front paws. Vet bills can be expensive, even just the monthly flea drops for 8 cats is a financial burden for me.

I never really worried about the cost for my pets though as I've had a stable job for 21 years and make a decent paycheck.....unfortunately I was recently told that the company is eliminating my position sometime in January and I'm thinking whatever job I find will probably be at a lower pay then what I am currently getting so yeah the prospect of looking for a new job has been on my mind a lot lately.

I see lots of white stuff on the ground this morning and am happy I won't be here while everyone adjusts their driving. They're too slow in the beginning and it drives me nuts.
The A/T's on our truck will be changed while I'm out at work, so we're good for a couple more years.

I see on the news that a province that I've occasionally lived in, has passed on legislation for mandatory winter tires during winter. The drivers there are terrible and they should have this enforced. I don't understand how those who make driving laws don't see how bad they really are.

Seriously? It was dumb enough when Walmart decided to stop their lowest price guarantee and now Amazon? Makes me wonder how long before the rest of the retailers follow suit

Too much. I need my BiL to step up and make sure our car is gased up and starts so I can arrange getting it here. I need the funds to do that and replace our broke ass washer and dryer. On the bright side I’ve got a phone interview tomorrow with a potential employer. Fingers crossed it goes well.

An apartment building in my hometown burned to the ground last night.
A lot of people lost everything and are staying at the Rec Center. The town is stepping up and donations of money and clothing and other essentials are pouring in.
I am happy that in times of need, people can be so giving.
