When we were kids and we were hungry and our parents weren't home we'd throw together fries with sliced sausage, occasionally topped with an fried egg with mayo and ketchup on top.
Just today I found out "our" childhood dish is called Salchipapas and has been a popular street food meal for ages

On the crew that just came in, there was an Operator that is a very beautiful young woman. I see now that she has switched crews so I’ll never see her again. We talked every now and then, but nothing more than casual friends. I’m married, she’s in a relationship and I have no interest in anything more than that. It was nice to see a beautiful woman and especially one that is very good at her job.
Now there’ll be nothing to look at but crusty old equipment operators.

Portable batteries are a blessing. I visit New York City a couple times a year, and the only way to avoid being asked for money from homeless people, or being asked if you're interested in a sight seeing bus ride, is to have headphones in. So naturally, while walking around and listening to music, my battery dies relatively fast. Portable batteries have saved me more than once.

Also, you can only see the sights and sounds of a mall so many times before it gets old. Sure, my first visit to a brand new mall, I want to see what's going on. My tenth or twentieth trip, I'm probably playing on my phone while walking around.

Just started a 100 point assignment for my Nutrition class that's due tomorrow. Can't figure out how to do the math for a section so I reached out to my professor for help.

Hello everyone,

I normally don't post on this part of the forum and I'm not sure if this is allowed or not so I'll delete if necessary.

In two weeks I'm participating in a charity event called Over The Edge in Daytona Beach, FL. I'll be rappelling an 8-story building (102 feet) to benefit The NASCAR Foundation and Easterseals, two charities that do great work for kids with special needs. I have to raise $1000 in order to rappel, and as of this moment I'm just about halfway there. I'm just trying to spread the word and any way you can help is appreciated. All donations go directly to the charities and are tax deductible.

i've never partaken in any black friday sale/event. the closest i ever came was when i went with my sister, her friend from work, and my niece one year. we went to the local mall. i was only there to witness the...whatever you would call it. madness?...maybe? but as far as actually shopping for things or buying stuff on black friday? nope...never have. i've usually bought all my christmas gifts by then, anyway and have no money left over.

There’s still no water here at camp. I had enough to wash up this morning so it’s been almost 8 hours since the water stopped. Night shift didn’t have any to wash after their shift and that must’ve sucked.
I sure hope that whatever the issue is, it gets fixed soon.
