Ya, Alabama is about to embarrass yet another one. Stay tuned.

Not to mention probably their best DE Marcel Dareus isn't playing

I think the overhype and love they get year in and year out people get tired of, and then you have teams like Iowa don't get any coverage(why I ALWAYS root for them).

Instead we have to hear about how a team that lost to a 5-7 Purdue team and a highly overrated 4 loss USC team is the best in the country. Which if that gets you the #2 rating what should Florida be rated since their only loss came to the National Champions.

+ my gripe is semi-personal

That Notre Dame-Michigan game today had 1,068 yeard of total offense. No wonder those two programs are so lousy. No defense at all.

I watched lol,(Montana ), guess he doesn't have what his father does

I have no idea what Rich Rod is doing up there, I figured after he left UWV he'd have a quality offense put in within 3 years, but they are still just average with a below average defense

I'd throw a pick to if I saw Hightower coming right at me

Good gawd. Didn't even realize it till just now but look at Michigan QB Denard Robinson's stats for today's game.

Passing: 24-40, 258 yards, 1 TD 0 Int
Rushing: 28 carries for 244 yards, 2 TD

He also returned a punt for 29 yards. That's almost the entire Michigan offense. Naturally he's a product of Florida HS football.

lol He's athletic as hell... Sorry about USF the Gators did a chomp on them today, but at least they'll schedule them, props for that.

Big 10 MEET Trent Richardson lmao like 2 runs 10 broken tackles

I didn't know Trent needed a break

3 runs like 11+ broken tackles

Bama almost doesn't even need Ingram in the offense to dominate. Their 2nd and 3rd string RB's are better than anyone else's #1 back.

EDIT - Bama's RB's have literally dragged Penn St. defenders halfway across the field.

I said like early on last year in our CFB thread when Trent was a rookie watch out he's their best Ingram has good power and elusiveness but he has nowhere near the power Trent has.

lmao this is an amazing drive he is just CARRYING psu players as he runs (I saved that drive on my dvr lol amazing)

*he's only 5'11 too but runs like Brandon Jacobs.

Devon Still is 6'5 311 and Richardson up-ended him

What a crazy play. Nice drive for Penn St. only to fumble it away, Alabama returns it about 80 yards and almost fumbles it away themselves. Penn St. won't win this challenge. Alabama player was down before the fumble.

Damn UCF is laying an egg against NC State, losing 14-0 at home.

Yeah, let's take the number 1, defending national champions at home and go out on a limb and say they will beat down a rebuilding Penn St. Not exactly a fair comparison.

You sound like a big OSU hater. Ohio St lost those games early in the season when they and especially Pryor weren't playing well. They went out and did what they had to do at the end of the season. Won the Big 10 and the Rose Bowl.

As for Florida they lost Tebow, were you expecting them to be ranked number 1 or 2 in the nation. They haven't exactly looked that great so far this year. Preseason rankings are based on how you finished last season and what you have coming back this season.

The Big 10 doesn't get overhyped any more than any other big conference. And the hype that it does get is deserved for the most part because of it's tradition and history.

I don't know why people get so worked up about Ohio St. I mean they don't seem to be breaking the rules, they have a coach who is about as square as a box. They aren't cocky and brash and flashy. They just go out and finish in the top 5 every year and contend for the championship.

Penn St. came into today ranked #18 and roughly the 3rd or 4th best Big 10 team. Alabama is missing possibly their best offensive and defensive players for today's game as well. Funny how often the phrase "rebuilding" is used for Big 10 teams. Michigan is always "rebuilding." Penn St. is always "rebuilding." Ditto on most of the other school in the conference.

Here are the number of national championships for each conference since the advent of the BCS title game in 1998:

SEC - 6
Big 12 - 2
Pac 10 - 1
Big East - 1
ACC - 1
Big 10 - 1

Even going back another 10 years there was only 1 more national champion from the Big 10... well "co-champion" Michigan to be exact in 1997.

I don't count that one because Miami got hosed + Ken Dorsey got a concussion and Mcgahee went out with the broken leg

No just dominate almost all the TV shows really like nobody else does... Like you said they lose early and coast into contention which really nobody else is able to do the way they have for awhile now. Not Texas, Oklahoma, Florida, Bama, Tenn, Iowa, exc. exc.

So I'll always be upset with that .

Heres a prime example Iowa lost 2 games "early" in 2004 and in 2005 was rated 10 behind a 4 loss OSU team.
http://www.fanblogs.com/coaches_poll/005416.php

Based on this years polls Iowa should have been #2 going into that 05 season.

Notre Dame still annoys me far more than Ohio St. At least Ohio St. fields good teams. Notre Dame almost never does and people still act like they are a national power, which they have not been since the early 90's. And they always seem to find away into the preseason top-25, which they never deserve or maintain for very long. I was shocked they didn't slither their way into the preseason top-25 this year.
