You could substitute disc purchases for "digital purchases" and I would also agree. So long as disc and digital purchases are profitable for the studios, both will continue to be available.

As for John Wick 3: Pablum, I will own the 4K disc, complete with blu-ray and digital code, on Sept. 10th. I don't mind the wait as I am getting the best quality possible and I get three ways to watch the movie to your one.

Again, Best Buy stores are sh*t and they are not a barometer for disc sales. Like with your digital purchases, most avid discs buyers shop online for the far better selection, equal or better prices, and the convenience of shopping from home.

Saw John Wick 3 in the theater and it was absolutely brutal. stomach-churning in some parts. Gives the Raid 2 a run for its money as the most violent movie ever made. Not sure I could handle another viewing, and I like movies like this

I have no doubt that your lists are lengthy and that placement in the top tier must be quite competitive.

If a niche digital provider is discontinued or support is significantly paired down people could lose their purchased movies and TV shows.

If a niche physical format is discontinued or support is significantly paired down nobody will lose their purchased discs.

Have posted something similar several times. Is it not plain enough? If not, what do I need to do to make it more clear? Does anyone else have a problem with the above post of mine?

Are you channeling your inner De Niro?

The Donster's been busy, so I'm taking up the GIF slack a little here. Anyone have a problem with that?

So what is it? Is it a meaningless data point or something of some significance?

It kind of feels more like the former, no?

I mean, you're right. The numbers won't change if somebody looks at them and finds them largely meaningless. But that doesn't mean they have some inherent, objective value that exists independent of the individuals interpreting them, does it?
