For a lot of years I really hated Urban Meyer, basically thinking he was overplaying if not making up a lot of the medical issues he claimed to have. I just thought he was something of an arrogant a-hole. I kind of feel bad about that since he's disclosed just how serious his mental health has been over the years.

http://thelab.bleacherreport.com/i-m-not-the-lone-wolf/

I've suffered from similar issues for 15+ years, gradually getting worse, so I can relate somewhat to Urban. Not sure if I mentioned it but part of the reason I sort of disappeared from this forum, and some other I post in was because I had a lot of major issues last year, including paranoid delusions, lack of sleep, terrible anxiety and major depression bordering on suicide that landed me in mental health facility for a time. It's a horrible thing to deal with, even with a crazy number of medications to help get me from day to day.

I read this last night and it definitely opens your eyes. I will admit that I never had a problem with Meyer during his coaching days before Ohio State. But I absolutely hated the moment when Ohio State first hired him in - only because I felt that no where until then did we ever hire someone that had that kind of success before. It's obviously fine now , but I did want to see Luke stay as HC and see what he could have done.

But reading that piece did open my eyes and made me feel better. I took it upon myself about four months ago to finally tell my doctor about being sick of all the anxiety/stress/depression I have. She prescribed a medicine to me, which has since been doubled in dosage. I still don't know if it's doing much.. but at the time this all happened, I kept thinking how could this be me? I felt awkward about it. My wife said it's a not a big deal and just a 'chemical imbalance', which as it may be, but that sounds awful.

The ACC announced they're moving all neutral-site championships out of North Carolina for the 2016-2017 academic year. That's big since many sports were scheduled to hold their championships in North Carolina, including football, women's basketball, baseball, and numerous other sports. No word yet on replacement venues.

Unfortunately It's a trial and error system with medications. I'm on 8 different medications for various issues and it took a lot of time to get just the right mix, which is hard since every drug interacts differently depending on the individual and side effects are common with many drugs. One of them made me think people were constantly following me and trying to do me harm, which set off the chain of events that caused me to be committed for nearly a week. Thankfully the meds I'm on now have kept me relatively stable for many months. I can't imagine the pressure someone like Meyer has to deal with given his issues. I know I could never handle being a public/famous person.

Looks like Orlando. Give me my sports back! Tired of politics invading everything, everywhere. On the bright side maybe the ACC baseball tourney finally returns to SC!

Sounds like Orlando's stadium is already booked that day. GA Dome is also booked. Maybe Miami? Or maybe they'll step out a bit and go for Nashville?

Could be an extra home game for the division winner with the higher record.

The ACC has never been a fan of that open of a home field advantage.

They were talking about it on local sports radio this morning. It's just some high school state title games that don't bring in much revenue and don't have very good attendance to Orlando that weekend. Those HS games can be moved elsewhere - UCF's home stadium or Daytona Beach Municipal Stadium. They seemed fairly sure the ACC title game is likely to move to the Citrus Bowl in Orlando.

After Cincinnati scored a TD with 14:57 left in the 4th, Cincy led Houston 16-12. Houston won the game 40-16.

How hot of a commodity is Tom Herman these days?

Albert Breer said he was told he very well could have NFL interest after this season.

I know one day he'll leave for a bigger school and more pay, but I would love to see guys stay at these smaller schools until they actually win. Brian Kelly was good with Cincinnati and had them up to #3 I believe. Herman now doing this with Houston.

I love Herman - I miss his offensive play calling at Ohio State.

Houston's last 2 scores were interceptions returned for touchdowns on back-to-back plays late in the 4th quarter.

Please stay away from Herman.

If we can get in a P5 conference, he has no reason to leave unless it is for one of the top 5 programs in the country. If the Big 12 says no to expansion or no specifically to UH then it is very likely someone offers him too much money to leave. Right now, he is paid 3 million and gets a 5 million bonus if UH gets in a P5 (with an individual team payout over 20 mil)

I could see him staying if we get in a P5. Houston is one of the best recruiting areas in the country. Did you see the stat that the average distance from the school of each recruit? 32 miles! While the overall NCAA average was over 300

Houston should be in the Big XII, but I could see Texas and Oklahoma trying to prevent that from happening.

I know Houston is no Notre Dame, but what *if* they went Independent?

It's best for the Big XII to add Houston, they are a potential gold mine in college football. That's also the reason they could meet some resistance.
