I'd like to think enough Big XII members would realize it's best for the conference to add schools that improve their product on the field.

Not quite true. Miami put itself in a spot where it had an empty game and needed an opponent. App St was willing to move an FCS opponent, but forced them to play in Boone.

That's not what I've been hearing. Yes, we needed an opponent. But Appalachian State has been trying to convince marquee programs to come to Boone for a long time now. Like I said, we had the balls. Appalachian State is a good football team coming off an 11 win season. They present some challenges.

They started looking last year, so not exactly a long time. And they were surprised to have a game so soon.

In more positive news, pending scheduling, I may be at the GT/Miami game this year. I'll be in Atlanta to see the Braves close out Turner Field, so if it's a noon game, I'll definitely be there. 3-4pm means we likely need to leave around the 3rd quarter. Night game would mean I'd miss it.

I never like playing you guys. That triple option is such a pain to prepare for.

I haven't seen an FSU team get beat this bad since Wake Forest a few years back at FSU. Louisville is scary looking. They come to the Valley in a couple of weeks.
