Rey is the granddaughter of the cousin of the best friend Sheev Palpatine had in kindergarten on Naboo while Finn is the surgically altered grandchild of Jar Jar Binks and Poe Dameron is a clone of Owen Lars in search of revenge against R2-D2 for getting the original killed in the first movie.
Also Leia left Han because she had enough of him being jealous of Chewbacca fearing she meant the truth when she said she'd rather kiss a wookie during EP V.

This. The PT was to show the Jedi in their absolute prime. The new trilogy should be showing Jedi/Sith fighting as if at least SOME of that knowledge/skill had been lost I think.

How would it get lost? Yoda, Anakin, and Obi-Wan can still communicate with Luke.

I'm personally hoping for less dancing and more fighting.

Training kickboxing and learning to dance are more similar than you might think. There's a reason you hear music blasting at Muay Thai studios; it's all about rhythm and timing.

In Episode VI when Luke goes focused nuts on his dad and says, "Screw all this darkside bs. Nobody's messin' with my sister" and proceeds to briefly (no long drawn out Marvelesque-Disneyesque battle) kick the crap out of his daddy and it's green on red light saber action... nothing beats that. The same goes for Vader's breif berserker mode on the emperor.

Can't wait to see Luke again and hope they avoid the long drawn-out, tiresome, no-frills, on-and-on-and-on, Hollywood battles that seem so common these days.

Martial art isn't just about trying to hit each other, that would just be like a fight anyone does outside of the bar. It's much more than that, "dancing" is just some of the moves to distract the opponent. Find some videos on the internet for any type of martial arts you'll be surprised how beautiful and tactical the moves are. On that reason, it would not be wrong for The Force Awakens to have some nice swordplay especially for the young characters.

Before someone post that gif of Anakin/Obi-Wan swinging their swords in the air, the idea behind it is to show how similar their swordplay is, one is the teacher and the other is the student. Their strategy, rhythm and timing is similar. It actually has emotional meaning to it rather than just some choreography. It's all over the scene, like doing Force-push at the same time, etc. Again I'm not saying it would make the prequels any better, just explaining a specific shot from the films.

I think we'll see something between the two styles, not as formal and stilted as the OT stuff was, but not as outwardly jumpy-jumpy CG-assisted as the PT was.

That's what I'm hoping for. One thing Abrams does well is framing and shooting fight scenes (yeah, yeah, I know, when you can see through all the lens flares). Most of the fight scenes in both Star Trek movies were fantastic. Not overly-choreographed, but still very fun to watch. So I'm just hoping for a more elevated version of the Vader/Luke lightsaber battles in Empire and ROTJ.

Yeah, I suppose I meant Episode VI, but was simply typing in terms of the real trilogy. My bad...

I know that Lucas wanted to amp-up the Jedi's powers in the prequels, but I think he might have been worried that the lightsaber battles might have lost some of their appeal much like swashbuckling films themselves. Luckily over the last few years we've seen a resurgence in swordplay in film and television and it can look fantastic. There's nothing like the hum of a saber and the blade lighting up in cinema, it's always pretty magical. The duels in Empire and Jedi still look great, because they have such emotion behind them.
