Custom Cover Art Thread

Here it is my recent work, PM me if you want it:

1º Cover -> Tron (1982 version)
Nissen inspired me to do a VHS Style cover, so here's my first attempt:

That Ocean's Trilogy cover looks awesome, but you just need to put the pic on the back a little bit bigger.

Try using these chips at the back. If you have to, enlarge it.



Someone once told me that when to look for pictures of anything to always look for the large ones because it's easier to scale down than to scale up and have a distorted non HD picture.

I see what you are trying to do... and the idea is a great one, but let's look at it in a different perspective. You have a very large canvas to work on and a bit of chips in the middle is not really sufficient. Let me ask you this, if you saw what you just created in a store, would it catch your eye? Why? Why not? If this is not something that catches your eye, then you have to make it eye catching. The front of the cover is very well done... too bad that there was no color to it. The back, you have too much empty space. What picture from either of the Oceans could you use to complement the picture on the front?

I'm only trying to help. I've just noticed that you leave a lot of room on all of your covers and it could be more to it, if you get my meaning.

I haven't posted anything lately, but I have done these two most recently...

I prefer the more muted colors of a poster I found that looks more like a sketch rather than the oil painting on Shout's cover.



This one is a custom for the Criterion release of the John Wayne classic RED RIVER. The Criterion set is a 4-disc set including two DVD discs. This is a 2-disc custom for only the Blu-ray discs...
