Glad things are working out civix!
Happy you’re back Head bugs!

Life events have turned my world upside down recently. But it seems to be getting better.

They've always seemed to work for me. Seems like your elevator is in violation of city regulations.

Occasionally you might still find one old elevator where it works though..
Most modern elevators (and many older ones) now have sensors that prevent doors from closing down when someone - or something - is entering or exiting the car. The "Open Door" button, OTOH, is still essential

I know. I was just referring to the close doors buttons which used to work up until the act was passed.

Yesterday the power briefly went out while I was sitting on the toilet, luckily the lights went back on quickly. Was only out about 5 seconds. It did knock out the router so I was without Wi-Fi until it restarted. Took nearly a full minute for the router to restart.

Christmas Tip:

Wrap empty boxes and put them under the tree. Every time your child acts up, throw one in the fireplace.

i'm thinking of going a different way to work.

i decided to drive a different route, today, to see the difference between it and my usual route. the new route is 7.1 miles shorter. my usual route is mostly interstate. the roads it takes to get to the interstate from my house and the roads to my actual work once i have to exit the interstate wouldn't change in either scenario. time-wise it's about the same due to the speed limit on the newer route being lower vs. the normal route. there are also more lights i have to contend with on the new route, but i still come out ahead since i cut out 7.1 miles. and factoring in that 7.1 miles + 5 days a week...i can get another day out of the same amount of gas using the new route vs. the old one.

Personalized Pet Photo Necklace This isn't an endorsement, I just think it's really cool. Seems like a mom gift.

The package never showed up. They must've delivered it to the wrong address. Best Buy is sending me a replacement, but it's basically costing them money because the post office messed up. That's not right. However, I appreciate them replacing it just like that because tracking did say it was delivered, so for all they know I got it and am lying.

Some members sure love judging you and saying "no one cares" when you briefly talk about your life here, then they're posting mundane crap about their boring never go anywhere/do anything life on here and get praised and all the likes.

Never got the flu shot last year and it worked out fine for me...
I'd say no.

My work gives them out free every year but I never got one and I haven't gotten sick in over a year. Just once last year when it was bad and I had chills all day. Only lasted for a day and a half thankfully.

But the past few months at work there's been people coughing left and right. Like, how weak of immune systems do y'all have? One of my co-workers is ALWAYS sick. I don't understand. How are you not dead?

i'm always using the hell out of the sanitizing wipes at work, lol. i'm always wiping off phone receivers, keyboards, scanners, keypads, PINpads, ANYTHING that people touch on a minute-by-minute basis...i'm wiping it off every-so-often. i got sick for 3 days the day after christmas last year (thanks to someone who came over and didn't tell anyone they'd been sick with some kind of virus and gave it to 4 other people....*******), and i don't plan on being like that again if i can help it. so i try to take precautions; like using sanitizer in abundance, washing my hands before i ever do ANYTHING in the kitchen or every time i'm in the bathroom, even if i don't use the toilet. i've gone a bit mental with it, probably....but getting sick sucks ass and i don't wanna ever feel like that, again.

a couple/three weeks ago, i caught something from someone at work who decided to come in sick. it wasn't bad, just a really stopped up nose, then a runny nose, then stopped up, then runny...you get the picture. well, i decided to call in to work so I wouldn't get anyone else sick. i'm not gonna be that person who goes in sick and gets like 20 other people sick. and i can't stand when people do that, either. ok, you're job is important, you just "HAVE" to work even when you're sick, we get it. but it's not more important than other people's health.

Pretty sure 90% of jobs in America don't care if you're sick or not. If they need you there, they need you there.
