Why not? If this is not something that catches your eye, then you have to make it eye catching. The front of the cover is very well done... too bad that there was no color to it. The back, you have too much empty space. What picture from either of the Oceans could you use to complement the picture on the front?

I'm only trying to help. I've just noticed that you leave a lot of room on all of your covers and it could be more to it, if you get my meaning.

Hope my suggestion helps, cheers!

I have to disagree with this. Sometimes (often), less is more. And in this case, the size of the chips on the back cover is just perfect. A large image would look ridiculous. It's subtle, elegant and very stylish.

Sure, I can make one. But you'll need to wait, because I have a bunch of requests before yours...

Meanwhile, PM me with the details.

That's awesome! Have you thought about making the border a kind of blue to make it pop more? and maybe the spine either a different kind of blue or white even? Either or, it looks fantastic... and it wasn't that hard... right? That's why Paint has done me well when it comes to slap stick covers...hahaha

P.S. Maybe something like this for your background?

[Show spoiler]

or even this

Been working on my own set of covers based off the awesome customs Lava_Lander created shown above. That being said, I thought I'd share with everyone the progress I've made on the cover for the stand-alone release of "Battlestar Galactica: Razor".

The first version of the cover is shown below. I'm using a screenshot I found online for the front portion of the cover which I really liked. Very pleased with the framing I decided to go with per the portion of the screenshot I'm using though the screenshot itself was pretty low quality, so I'm on a mission this weekend to determine which season and episode the screenshot was taken from and take one of my own. I'm also thinking about updating the emblem on the back portion of the cover, so that it calls out "Battlestar Pegasus - BSG G2" instead. (Have since updated the emblem as planned. More details on that can be found here.)

I also worked up an alternate version of the cover per the below. Had a lot of fun with the front portion of this one which emulates the retail cover for "Battlestar Galactica: The Plan" per the collage of images. The images used in this case were taken from the Blu-ray menu per the video that plays in the background. The back portion of the cover is the same as the first version I worked up with the exception of the top portion which uses a different background image, the same source image the retail cover art used on the back. Turned out great I thought.

Yeah I toyed around with the background but I really like the shot of the nebula. I'm going to change the spine color to help it pop like you said.

thanks,

How are you able to take those bad looking VHS images and make them look immaculate as a blu-ray cover? People in here spew out custom after custom as if it takes hardly any time. It's quite impressive.

If I had the means, I would like to do something similar to the poster who has all of his Disney movies as a theme. That's what studios need to do to begin with. It looks so much cooler that way.

I hate when they release a bunch of movies as one theme and then the newest one looks nothing like it (example: Fast and Furious 1-5 compared to 6...the non-steelbooks). Even Disney started to add variations to the Diamond Collections. I think the gold bordered ones that have the oval covering most of the artwork looks idiotic. The blue-bordered versions are much more beautiful...yet they don't include a digital copy

War of the Worlds

In the process of transferring my entire collection to Scanavo cases I eventually had to tackle the few DVDs I still own. Of all of them there are two that I fear may never see Blu-ray releases, but I made them with Blu-ray logos just in case that day comes.

Frozen was the first cover I did when I started my Walt Disney Animation Studios collection and I've always been really unhappy with the spine and back... The title almost disappears into the blue background. I'd been meaning to fix it for a while, but just recently got around to actually doing so. So here is the new version with a lighter background.

I also made up a couple of character versions for those of you who prefer character art to the concept pieces I generally lean toward.

All four versions are now available on euphoricfx.

And for those who also collect the sequels...
