How the hell is UGA still ranked? They won by 2 points over a FCS team at home. They won by 1 point against Mizzou. They got decimated by Ole Miss. But somehow that's still the 20th best team in the country.

I was there! After Tennessee scored their first TD to make it 21-10, the place went nuts. When they scored to go ahead 24-21, it was deafening! I am so hoarse today LOL!

So if that last TD had counted for LSU Les Miles would still be coaching? Weird timing for firing a guy with a national championship and a 114-34 record at LSU.

Am I the only one that thinks that is crazy? Maybe they told him to fire the OC and he wouldn't, but to fire him now and not last year seems a bit odd. However saying that Clemson did about the same thing to Bowden a few years back. I say about the same because he quit knowing he was getting fired at the end of the year and encouraged the AD to give the job to Dabo fort He remainder of that season. Worked out OK for my Tigers.

LSU's AD was definitely waiting for a reason to fire Les. Low and behold, loses to unranked Wisconson and a field-goal happy Auburn was it. The Auburn loss really stings, because we shouldn't have lost to that team. It's a little strange to do it near the middle of the season, and demoralize the locker room.

It might be hard to land a high-caliber permanent replacement, with the state's budget issues, and how much they still owe Les. Tom Herman would be my top choice. Jimbo would be nice, but LSU might have screwed themselves with Jimbo last season.

At least we still have an entire season to see what Danny Etling brings to the table. I like his poise, and the offense looks much better. Hopefully, we have him for 2017.

Maybe Bo Pelini could be an option.

I'd take a serious look at Mark Dantonio or possibly David Shaw at Stanford.

He should. Between Harbaugh and Meyer, he's going to have a very hard time making any headway in the Big 10. He'll never get the horses there that he could get at LSU.

He still wouldn't be one of the top coaches down there. He's doing just fine at MSU and building that program up, despite their recent loss.
