Had a surprise today - Steelbook of Invasion of the Body Snatchers arrived... I'd totally forgotten about it - pre-ordered from Arrow.

Other items was Sightseerers, ordered yesterday from Amazon when I noticed the price had dropped (I've been wanting to see for a while but didn't want to pay 14.00 or 16,99).

The JFK steelbook is from Amazon as the one from Zavvi was scratched at the back, and that is going back for a refund. Big Fish looks like another South African title and Scent Of A Woman looks like it's from Scandinavia. Tropic Thunder was also cheap

Also picked Doctor Zhivago up from HMV - I've been looking for the 2 disc for a while, but this seems to be a weird hybrid.

The slip looks like the new version but the BR seems like the old one. I thought the newer version of this was only 1 disc (as per the BR site listing), but the slipcase seems to list 2 discs plus a UV copy.

The BR doesn't have a UV copy... so I figure that's the old pressing. Maybe a rogue copy with old BR and new slip?

Anyone know if the latest version (with UV) is 2 disc? Obviously, the slipcase I have says so, but there was a second copy in HMV that was in the same slipcase (ie UV and 2 disc) but only had UV text on the back of the BR itself (even the red/brown strip of text wasn't there)... so, rather than risk it, I went for the copy that had 45th Anniversary on it with the mismatched slip.

I think I'll post in the Zhivago thread and see if anyone can offer a suggestion (other than a mistake by HMV staff in stacking etc).

HMV use their own barcodes so if the one under the sticker on the Amaray is different from the slip then someone's done a switch-over. The content looks them same. If the EANs match maybe the flyer is just missing but UV releases usually have the yellow banner on slip and wrap.

The TCM2 looks fantastic ricster. I wish some other films had such lavish treatment!

Barcodes don't match - so maybe someone switched them.

What I'd like to know is if the newer version (with the UV code) is a 2 disc set... then I might take it back (the mismatched cover triggers my nervous collector twitch - LOL)

The back of the slip seems to indicate that it has 2 discs so you should be all right. It might be worth checking if the replacement shows 2 discs on the back. Just to be on the safe side.

I didn't get to check myself today, but someone else did for me. Basically, the back of the new release says 2 discs on the slip case, but does not mention 2 discs on the BR itself (it only has the yellow UV stripe).

It seems the newer release with a UV code only lists it's contents properly on the slipcase. If this is the case, the blu-ray.com entry needs an update as everyone has presumed it's a single disc set (like the steelbook), as the BR packaging doesn't list the extras disc and only mentions the UV code.

The two steelbooks from Zavvi only arrived today. The other two were from Amazon but I've not received The Hobbit steelbook from them yet. Also some other new releases which should come tomorrow. Stuck was one I ordered from Play Marketplace and has taken a week to arrive, and a new strand of releases from Network's British Film Series - British Musicals Of The 1930s. Like The Ealing Studios Rarities Collection, this will be a multi-volume series for lesser known films
