I've just heard that GUN FURY and MISS SADIE THOMPSON are going fast in the latest Twilight Time Blu-ray sale. Both 3-D restorations by Grover Crisp are stunning and well worth it.

Don't wait!

just saw the beginning of the creature from the black lagoon in 3D, and yes it had very strong 3D! very impressive and thrilling to see a 3D movie that was made so long ago, it's hard to explain

If you were impressed and thrilled, there are many more out there now from the early '50's "Golden Age" and I would recommend them all!

Though all the Twilight Time titles are region free so if you can still get any of those, do so!

Now that we have the excellent Sangaree in our collections, it's time to start counting the days until we get Jivaro. I guess this is how the rest of my life is going to be - always waiting in anticipation for the release of another Golden Age 3-D classic on Blu-ray. I wonder what will come first, 3-D Rarities II or Jivaro? Can't wait for both of them.

Speaking of Sangaree, the 3-D and color in this movie are excellent. There are quite a few scenes featuring large gatherings of people that are just stunning. The depth coupled with the many different colors looks beautiful. If today's 3-D movies looked like this, nobody would ever complain about having to wear glasses.

Jivaro is listed as the coming attraction on the 3D Film Archive web site so, I'm guessing it will be next.

What makes it even better is JIVARO will be presented in a 1:66 to 1 aspect ratio filling up my screen.

And we will be the first to see it in 3D (released in 2D only in 1954).

I believe "Jivaro" will be first. "3dRaritiesII", originally requested by Flicker Alley and planned by 3dFA to be released this Fall, has been delayed until next year due to some difficulties involved possibly with the promised included feature "El Corazon y la Espada". Bob F. has recently said that they are currently working on "Jivaro" and look to a release date possibly before the new year or maybe shortly after.

No, I think I'm going to be the first one. A jungle adventure with cannibals and Rhonda Fleming in 3-D sounds so great that I've decided I want to be the first in line this time. Bob, please PM me when you get the inside dope on when the exact moment of the sale will begin so I could claim I was the first to order this Blu-ray. Thanks.

They're probably working on it right now. It's probably almost ready. Bob probably has a rough draft of a big announcement already typed up and is editing it as we speak.

I remember reading about that last year or so, and I had forgotten exactly which movie it was. That will increase the coolness factor!

Yeah, the fact that Jivaro was never released in 3-D only enhances the mystique. I've never seen it mentioned outside the long-lost vintage 3-D listings. But it's exactly the kind of film I want from the format.

After that, I'm ready for another few westerns, preferably those from highly regarded directors. Titles like Wings of the Hawk or Taza, Son of Cochise would be more than welcome. Dying to see what Bob has in store for 2019.
