They do look nice like that, but I also like having the box set. However, I think what you're doing might be the way to go. I had the "Ultimate Trilogy" set for a while, but when I saw they came out with the new box set that had spaces for the 2D and 3D discs for Jurassic World, I went ahead and got that. That was before the movie became SUPER popular and profitable lol. So who knows how many more Jurassic movie are actually going to get made, I guess I could wait until they're done and get a "final" box set... I do hate the idea of having 1-4 in a set and then whatever sequels separate. Oh well, first world problems lol.

The tin is by far the stupidest of all DVD/BD case designs. It has been ever since that awful Total Recall tin fourteen years ago.

I like the idea of a metal case, but the Jurassic World tin reminded me of a giant chewing tobacco can. I settled for the traditional plastic case/slipcover.

Looks great but frankly the boxset was such a great value at that price it had before JW came out that it just made more sense to buy that. I paid more for just Jurassic World on Tuesday than I did for the boxset with Jurassic Park 2D+3D, Lost World, and JP3 altogether.

I got around to watching this last night and for the most part I enjoyed it. It didn't come close to the original film, but it was noticeably better than the previous sequels. Also, I was not impressed with a good bit of the CGI. There were some shots that looked fantastic, which usually had to do with the Indominus. However, many of the raptor shots stuck out to me. On the whole I was entertained though and we really can't ask for more.

The color difference on that particular issue was due to CGI more than any color timing issues.

I love the film, but it was a bummer after seeing the pics of the real raptors that they overlaid them completely with CGI, not just to animate the eyes and breathing, but everything.

I must be losing my mind! Release day comes and I sorta forgot about JW. I go to Walmart to pick some things up and I see they have it. I ran over to Best Buy and I got confused quick! 4 different color tins 3 at 11.99 the other at 24.99. I realize that they released the original trilogy in tins too. They had 2 3D JW tins left in the whole store so I snagged those plus the trilogy. I don't mind the tins. They remind me of the old film tins you'd see in the 70"s. I still even have the total recall from 14 years or so... I am a collector of steels among other items but I'm back at Walmart yesterday waiting on a prescription and they had like 5 lunch boxes left.... Calling my name Ocd style. So I pick it up too. Last night I wake up at like one in the morning, so I attempted to watch my first ever viewing of JW... That's right, blind buy but the reviews were tremendous so I went with my gut. So 2 hours and 3 minutes later I find myself with a grin from ear to ear. "They did it!" I think to myself " they finally recaptured the fun of the original". After all, all four movies have the same plot line. So as the credits are rolling on the screen, I find myself ordering the Amazon gift set. I've seen the unboxing video and the figures looked very detailed. Not even gonna open the box. Gonna keep it minty fresh just like the tins of the originals for display. Got other versions of the trilogy so why bother to open? Anyway, my living room is going to look like a Jurrasic Park gift store...

i got the Target exclusive because i prefer content over packaging, but why cry over the format? if they'd gone so far as to author a new BD disc for a mere 30 mins of features, you'd be crying about the price...
Who said i am crying or on a high horse ? Just would have rather the bonus content be on a Blu Ray lol. If it were a few dollars more i would pay the difference anyhow. When you are spending $24-$35 for a movie it's already quite a bit of cash so what's the difference ...

Where do you buy your stick-on disc hubs? I need to do this! I've been stacking.

My wife ordered me the limited edition statue version from Amazon as a surprise. Unfortunately Amazon foiled the surprise when a notification on my phone said it shipped. Oh well super excited for it to come in. I loved this movie so much and look forward to watching it again.

This is why I like Bullmoose only $4.99 for 3 day shipping. I ordered the movie on Tuesday and it's arriving tomorrow.

You overpaid then. Wal-Mart has them for $17.96 at my store through tomorrow and other people have found that price or under $20 at other stores.
