What a superb finale. Aside from one disappointing reveal, everything else is badass, bittersweet and it left me extremely excited for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness, and Captain Marvel 2. WandaVision is my third favourite MCU project. 4.5/5

The

That was a terrific finale and I'm actually glad many of the "spoilers" for the finale that have been floating around this week were all wrong.

The show has been unpredictable and I love it for it.

WandaVision looks better than a lot of movies out there.

It was a pretty safe ending to what ended up being a pretty safe show, a standard third act Marvel movie climax. I’m glad the show managed to land it’s final emotional beats, but it definitely tipped more towards being set up for bigger things than a piece of it’s own.

Seriously. I expect Loki to look even more glorious from the trailer itself.

The show started out fresh and different, and I really liked the aspect of Wanda being a sort of villain, but of course we can't have that, so instead they stuff the show with generic villains such as Hayward and Agatha, which, predictably, led to one of those trademarked flash bang CGI finales. Just for the sake of telling the audience "There's worse people out there!"
And of course we can't leave characters dead and buried in the MCU either, so of course they had to bring Vision back. Wanda's character arc was the best thing about the show, and it did get a good pay-off, but a lot of the things surrounding this was just plain bad, and they did not need these cookie-cutter villains present AT ALL for the show to reach the same conclusion.
And Wanda being more or less let of the hook for this apart from some sinister looks from the townspeople? Come on. The more I think about it, the more I really dislike this finale. Such a shame that it crashed and burned during the final stretch.

This is me as well. And that saddens me. We could’ve had a real, real examination of Wanda with a possible uncomfortable finale. Alas, the MCU gonna MCU.

There is a continuity error I just found out about. It involves a certain book, it looks different than the last time we saw it in the MCU. Either that, or that other thing isn't canon.

I’m not an MCU fanboi so here is the perspective from a non hardcore fan who has seen the movies (once each):

[Show spoiler]

- The Vision vs, Vision battle was better then Agatha vs. Wanda.
- The Witch fight was WAY too long and all stuff we have seen a million times over and fully bathed in CGI.
- I didn’t care about no high profile Bads or Cameos showing up but t did feel there was something missing.
- Hayward was wasted in the end.
- WTF white vision? Where did he go off to? Why wouldn’t he meet up with Wanda after he got his memories? Also this just makes the point of creating White Vision at the end of the penultimate episode a . . .waste?
- The second end credits scene was a joke. Hearing the kids at the end when she just gave them up and said good bye but now she hear’s them and cares?

Anyway, this show really played it safe in the end and was another example of style over substance. Inevitably there will be fans that will try to explain plot holes as “seeds” for future shows/films or like they are mysteries like one of the show’s primary influences “Twin Peaks”.
