Yep - there are various gaffes as of late with some hi-profile titles. UHD is supposed to be the "Mutts Nuts" as far as home video goes. The latest Iron man/Thot releases are generally viewed as only OK and somewhat of a disappointment. The audio on several discs is just weak and not as good as poeple would have hoped. There is zero reason for them to hold back, IMO. Stop cheaping out and recycling old crap and then trying to pass it off as new.

Its like... glad I kept all my blu-rays around

there's a very detailed video comparison which details lots of differences
for Sound mixes, also compares colours, aspect ratio's etc

Sound comparison's start around 8m in video
but it's worth watching from the start

Same , but nobody should expect anything like that from WB.
Glad it has HDR10+

I never doubt Stanley Kubrick. This is a testament to his film. 2 Cuts are considered legendary either way.

Name another who can pull it off? IKR. Dayum.
Nolan. *Mic drop*

Its really good with some great stories. He says his best Steadicam work on the film was the Hospital ending scene which Kubrick ended up cutting so no one has seen it!

That’s annoying to hear! I want to see it! I love his work! I really want to learn to use a steadicam, but I don’t know anyone that has one! The person I know sold it!

I always choose the 5.1 track derived from the 70 mm mix. I read on some review that the "restored" 5.1 DTS-HD MA track on the UHD BD is the same mix of the 2007 BD but compressed to 5.1.
I haven't taken the time to compare the two, I may some day this week.

I just saw this on the USA WBShop page, and I noticed the following things (IT IS NOTHING CONFIRMED, I HAVE NO SOURCES OR ANYTHING, IT'S ONLY WHAT I SEE ON THE IMAGE):
  • Apparently below are the Dolby Vision and HDR10+ logos. Therefore, it seems that 4K will include Dolby Vision and HDR10+, rare that WB has not yet announced.
  • And obviously, there is nothing about the UK version, we should wait for WB to launch the cover of the UK to see if it says the same.

I'd like to know if anyone heard a rumor about Dolby or HDR10 +. I was surprised when I saw it
If it’s labeled on the back cover it has it. So happy about DV for this!

I guess I'm kind of confused as to why everyone is so shocked this has DV. 2001 had it, why not this one too? It sucks because I've just been all but laid off and had to cancel like 8 pre orders but I kept this and Apocalypse Now and will get Endgame tomorrow. Glad I've been saving up otherwise I would've had to forego all of them.

I made the same comparison when DV was not mentioned on the press release for this. I genuinely thought it was dropped and so did a lot of people. So it is a pleasant surprise after all.

Warners haven't been all that hot when it comes to putting DV on catalogue titles, that's why. All four Batmans were DV-less, for example.

Not on catalogue 4K disc they don't, which is what we're talking about. Most studios master their HDR content in DV at source level and put them out as such on streaming, that's not what we're talking about.
