I don't give a damn about Jimbo Fisher, Bobby Petrino or Tom Herman. Coach O is the guy for LSU. Coach O wouldn't have lost to Wisconsin or Auburn. LSU is demolishing Florida and A&M over the next two weeks. If LSU doesn't make the right choice to stick with Coach O, then they deserve a Vanderbilt level of irrelevancy.

Meanwhile, BAMA remains #1 seed in the playoffs, and the only victorious Top 4 team. They are on the way to a repeat.

Really enjoyed the slate of games Saturday. Tons of upsets leaving Alabama as the only undefeated BCS conference team left. Alabama seems to be in a class of their own thus far. The rest of the field is wide open for the playoff. I'm sure either Ohio St. or Michigan gets a spot with Clemson or Louisville getting one out of the ACC and who knows with the other spot. The way things are going one or two 2-loss teams might make it.

Ohio State, welcome back to #2.

There is a possibility that if both Ohio State and Penn state both win out the rest of the season, that Penn State advances to B1G Championship game, and Ohio State would still advance to Playoffs.

Louisville is out of the playoff picture for good. Houston crushed them with an awful game for Lamar Jackson.

the local sports radio guys here were all talking about how this game was gonna be closer than most people thought. but just about all of them thought louisville would win. one guy said he had a feeling houston would win; and the other guys poked fun at him a bit, but did agree that houston would give them a good game.

eager to hear them this morning after that score.....

Unbelievable game. I wish Houston hadn't lost earlier in the year as I thought they keep make a deep playoff run.

The playoff is only two rounds -- semifinals and final. I don't know how "deep" that can possibly be.

I meant climbing the rankings and winning the first round of playoffs.. given that, they are Houston, a non-power 5 team.

They lost 2 games though. A non-power 5 needs a perfect season to have any chance at the playoff.

Yes, the playoffs should expand to 8-10 teams.

A fight nearly broke out during the pre-game warm ups at Tiger Stadium. This should be a good one. Ready to dine on Gator.

File this under the inspiring/cool stories of the week. The father of Packers LB Joe Thomas Jr. returned to college four years ago when his small business went under. Today he got the opportunity to play in a college football game at RB at the age of 55. He rushed for a 3 yard gain. He's believed to be the oldest player to ever take a snap in a Division 1 football game.

Joe Thomas Sr., father of Packers LB, plays for South Carolina State

With a 3-yard gain, South Carolina State running back Joe Thomas Sr., the 55-year-old father of Green Bay Packers linebacker Joe Thomas Jr., fulfilled his dream Saturday.

Joe Sr. took the field against Savannah State on senior day as the oldest walk-on running back for South Carolina State, where Joe Jr. played from 2010 to 2013.

His son was scheduled to be on the Packers' team plane headed for Sunday's game at Washington.

"I am a little worried," Joe Jr. said Friday. "I know his body might be a little fragile. I'm going to try to get the coach not to run him on one of those stretch plays. I'm going to try to get him to run straight downhill."

Joe Jr. has been with the Packers since 2015.

He said his father was an entrepreneur in South Carolina with a construction company and a training facility until the recession wiped out his business. Four years ago, his father decided to pursue a degree -- he's studying engineering -- and revive his athletic career.

"It's been crazy for me," Joe Jr. said. "I never thought you'd see a 55-year-old running back. I'm just proud of him. He made his mind up to do something and stuck to it."
