Saving what? The 3 hours of extras is included with this release, and it's quite a decent amount I'd say.

Most movies don't come with that much extras. 3 hours is quite good in my opinion. I don't know how much you'd expect. 5 hours?, 6?

do you know how long the batmobile doc is?

there is also a making of on consistant of 17 mini features they call it "Ending the Knight" a comprehensive look into the making of Dark Knight Rises

Does not sound like they are skimping on us. Just look at Avengers release now that one is a disgrace

It's 55 minutes long. I don't think they're skimping on us either. In fact, I think Warner could have easily saved the Batmobile doc for the UCE considering it's more of a general Batman doc, and not one specific to Rises.

Yep, the extras were recently rated by the BBFC and they totaled about 103 minutes, but the list didn't include one of the featurettes for some reason so it'll probably be a few mins longer than that:

I imagine he means the IMAX scenes.
The specs on the back of the case that were posted indicated switching ARs.
