I hate most studio BD covers and decided to make one the way I think they should look. This custom BD cover was inspired by the VHS cover from way back, I changed some things, but it still resembles the original cover. If you'd like a copy of one of these,... just PM me and let me know if you want style A, B or C.
I am also working on the other custom BD covers for the rest of the Friday the 13th films.

Fantastic work! I like the style B the most. I'm working for a few weeks on a cover set for friday the 13th movies VHS Style as well. Can't wait to show them to you guys.

I'm currently in the (long) process of printing around 70 custom covers following a huge order of cases being delivered. I'd expect the process to take a good few days. Anyway, for anybody wondering what paper to use, I'm using ICE 130gsm gloss paper and it's working fantastically well! I'll post some pictures when I have everything printed and in cases.

I just finished setting up all the other releases tonight and have them grouped at the moment. All of them are simply amazing. I hope to do some write-ups shortly along with photos in your master thread.
Please do, I wish more would.

Thanks

Default Friday The 13th VHS Style Covers

Here it is, my Friday The 13th VHS Style Covers. Some of the back pics of the covers aren't the same as the original VHS covers because I couldn't find the same in HD, so I had to replace them.
What do you guys think? Jason X and Freddy vs Jason coming soon.
Available by PM.

Oh man would I love to have Deadly Friend, Vamp, and Night of the Creeps. As far as I know Vamp and Night of the Creeps are on Blu-ray.

I have the Arrow Region Free blu of Vamp and it's awesome. Just can't put my cover in it with the hard slipcover that comes with it. Looks weird, lol.

I haven't gotten the Night of the Creeps on blu yet, but soon hopefully.

Deadly Friend......well, that is one of my all time favorite movies. I am patiently waiting for that on blu. Hopefully with Wes Craven original version as a special feature, plus some new bonus stuff.

Default The Secret!

Since I repeatedly get asked which software I use to create covers, I figured I'd lift the veil on the entire process.

I use MagicCoverDesigner 3.0. Neat program. One-click simplicity. You just enter the title of the film you want to create a cover for, press "Generate", then it scours the 'net for high-rez images and posters, picks the coolest poster, merges several images if need be to extract the highest possible quality, paints out creases and age-related wear from old posters, auto-translates foreign type into English if applicable, picks and downloads and installs genre-appropriate/period-appropriate fonts, copies and merges several synopsis' from IMDB or DVDempire, auto-generates never-before-seen layouts for the back (also genre/period-appropriate), picks stills that are spoiler free (on a scale from 1-6 which you specify when prompted) again searches the entire Internet for the best resolution and clarity images (even auto-downloads images from services such as MoviePictureDatabase and charges my PayPal), searches databases for audio/video specs for that specific title and enters them in thoughtful easy-to-read arrangement, enters title-specific/studio-specific legal text, does impeccable spell-checking on everything (never once failed so far), and saves master files and compressed downloadable files to your harddrive (with backups on an external drive).

If you update to version 4.5 the program also makes auto-generated 3D previews that are automatically uploaded to your ImageShack account, then makes a post bragging about your new creation on several forums (memberships come separately), and answers all PM requests each saturday morning from 9 to 11 (configurable).

Nothing to it, really :-)

Did I mention it's freeware?

Anyone got VHS style covers for the Nightmare On Elm Street movies yet?
I'm also looking for a Better Off Dead custom cover with original poster artwork...

Vamp has a big bad digital glitch and it sucks because the Arrow release looks great except for that... I own it.

It is tons of digital blocks all over the screen for a few seconds, not just one frame like when something like this sometimes happens. Badly distorted picture. I am shocked that Arrow approved it due to the fact that their releases are usually better than anyone's and mostly error free.

I forget exactly the time of the glitch, but I believe it is within the 1st 15 minutes.
