The most common way is using the microphone jack on the DAW and mic up your amp (ie literally point your microphone directly at your amp speaker at close range). If your amp happens to have a line out (cab simulation), then you can run that line out into your DAW's 1/4 input instead as well.

What you're looking for is an interface for your devices to connect to a PC or MAC (I mistakenly said DAW, which refers to the recording software which in your case is Garageband). Some of the most popular and affordable ones are made by Focusrite.

For your situation, a Solo or 2i2 (which I currently use) would be sufficient. They are powered by the USB port of your device (USB C to USB A 2.0 cable included).

Solo (one XLR mic input and one 1/4" input, can use one at a time):

2i2 (two 1/4" inputs, 2 XLR mic inputs, can use two simultaneously at a time):

I got those shelves put together, but I did not realize how deep they were, and the shelves themselves don't exactly have the height I like. I ended up going with ones I liked and bought before but could not find for some reason. They are cheaper and easier to put together. The metal shelves I can use for something else.

The shelves I have that have bolts sticking out are a very large set I bought at Best Buy 10ish years ago.

Here is what I got. I have had a good experience with these. Easy to move when assemble. The part I hate are the tiny nails you have to use for the backing.
