I like it. I think CU can out score OSU. They can't throw a forward pass. Huskies can beat Bama too. They can throw a forward pass. Bama has only faced 1 legit QB in Swag and he put 550 yards on them without a running game or D to help him out.

Opening point spreads for the playoff games. I really can't argue. I see Ohio St. as a modest favorite and Alabama as a huge favorite. Washington had a very good year but Alabama is likely to crush them.

Alabama (-14) over Washington
Ohio St. (-3) vs. Clemson

Point spreads for the other big bowl games. I like that USC-Penn St. matchup.

Rose Bowl: USC (-6.5) vs. Penn St.
Cotton Bowl: Wisconsin (-6.5) vs. Western Michigan
Sugar Bowl: Oklahoma (-5.5) vs. Auburn
Orange Bowl: Michigan (-6.5) vs. FSU

Yeah. That Rose Bowl looks like a good one.
I'm curious as to why Colorado didn't get to go to the Rose Bowl?
Am I missing something?

USC #9 vs CU #10. Since UW went to the CFP, the Rose Bowl takes the highest-ranked Pac-12 team to replace UW in the game.

Wow. I'm not complaining. I'm happy for USC, but Colorado got shafted. They won the PAC-12 South division over USC.

I like the favorites except I'll take FSU in the Orange bowl.

Just imagine if we still had to old top-2 national title system. It would likely be Alabama vs. Ohio St. for the title with Washington and Clemson royally screwed. At least 4 teams is progress over the old top-2 BCS garbage.

A two-loss team isn't getting into the final four playoff picture. Sorry not sorry. They can rectify issues like this by expanding to an 8-10 team playoff picture. The committee got it right.

Looking forward to a good bowl game with Louisville. Let's go, Coach O.

An 8 team playoff was always my preference. Would have been something like this.

Alabama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Penn St., Washington make it via automatic bids for winning their power 5 conferences. At-large bids to Ohio St. and probably Michigan and USC.

Honestly I don't care. As long as my Tigers are in is all I care about. Just thought it was funny.

I hear ya. I'm just referring to the way the first 100 years of the Rose Bowl and how the two teams were chosen:

"The Rose Bowl Game has traditionally hosted the conference champions from the Big Ten and Pac-12 conferences."

I'm elated that USC got in it. I've been watching them since the 70's when I was a little Trojan.

I'm more convinced than ever that they will immediately adopt an 8 team playoff, but only after the Big 10 or SEC gets left out.

The Ohio State treatment this year makes it all the more absurd TCU was left out two years ago.

Any reason why TCU dropped from #3 to #6 could be considered as applying to Ohio State, and just makes me believe anymore if the name was "Texas" instead of TCU they never would have been left out. Can't leave out a big name! That would just be wrong!

if i'm not mistaken, they're contractually obligated to have it at 4 teams until at least 2025. so it'll be at least another 9 years before that will happen.

The phrase "immediately" should never be in the same sentence with D1 football. They move at glacier speed. It took what, like 80+ years for them to adopt the BCS system. Then we got stuck with the stupid BCS system another 15 years to evolve into a 4 team playoff. We're probably not getting an 8 team playoff for at least another decade.

Is Paul Finebaum an idiot? On his twitter page he seriously asked this question, "Do you think Alabama can afford a loss to Washington and still make the championship game?"

Yes, he actually asked that question.
