Looks like USF is going to finish at 11-2 it appears. They're blowing out South Carolina. And they have Charlie Strong coming in to be their next head coach. Probably going to be USF domination of the AAC for years to come.

If only UCF's job were open this off-season instead of last. Frost is a good coach but I'd have loved to have Strong instead.

The good news is USC sucks and everybody beats them. They make everyone look like world beaters.

It's really impressive considering BYU is an extremely religious university with draconian rules on everything from alcohol use to dating. Not the kind of place that attracts a lot of top-tier recruits. I imagine Jim McMahon was probably given a lot of slack to survive there though.

Jim McMahon is very fortunate he played before the social media era.

It's about damn time the Canes finally won a bowl game. A decade in the making. It was a hell of a game after the first quarter, and we won in pretty commanding fashion. Kaaya definitely impressed, so even if he leaves he has a lot to be proud of, and this team has a pretty bright future going forward. It's all about the U baby!!!!!!

I really like the direction of our program under Richt and his staff. The future is very bright.

Yeah, so do I. I mean it was a bit frustrating going through the four game losing streak in the middle of the season, especially the ones against FSU and Notre Dame, but the boys definitely bounced back in a big way winning their last five games. And they won those games in a pretty impressive fashion too. We've made some big improvements this year, so if the squad stays together next year, then perhaps we can finally be a legit top 10 team.

I think he's a terrific coach. You don't achieve his career winning percentage by accident.

I almost forgot to mention that Army won their Bowl Game on Tuesday, while Navy lost last week. It has truly been a great holiday season for me.

Shame that Wazzu blew it against Minnesota, though.

You do that by coaching at UGA where you have 8-9 Ws built into your schedule unless you're Kirby Smart. Again he's a nice guy and could recruit at UGA, but don't mistake that for a good coach. If you think The U is an 8-9 win program then you got your man. If you want championships then maybe the next guy will be it because it's not Richt. Just ask UGA fans.

SEC is easily at it's lowest point in about two decades or so this season. Alabama might have a great team but the rest of the conference stinks. Just 1-4 in bowl games and no team outside of Alabama has lost less than 4 games. And that one bowl win was a 1 point win by Mississippi St. against a weak opponent.

No offense to GA Tech but UGA tends to be the default college pick for that state, which produces an incredible wealth of HS football talent. As we're seeing post-Richt anyone can churn out consistent top-5 to 10 in the nation recruiting classes at Georgia. Richt's win% is about what you'd expect from anyone who held that job.

Problem is he could never quite get UGA over the top. Hopefully he can turn the Canes back into a national contender but I have my doubts.

Arkansas Tight End Suspended For Trying To Shoplift Despite Having $450 Gift Card

According to SEC Country, Sprinkle tried to shoplift at a Belk store during a shopping spree competition. The Razorbacks received $450 gift cards as their bowl gifts; earlier this week, players had 90 minutes to spend the money at a local Belk. Sprinkle is alleged to have taken “items worth more than the allotted cost available.” The report said that Charlotte PD wasn’t called to the scene, and the tight end doesn’t appear to have been charged with anything.

According to the Charlotte PD, these are the items Sprinkle attempted to steal:

QB play is horrible. What's funny is Reece Davis spewing his SEC biased nonsense talking about how great the QB play will be next year in the SEC. I agree it can't get worse but if he thinks the SEC will have great QB play next year then gets dumber than I thought. The best QB will be another transfer from another league. The kid from Baylor to Auburn. Allen from Arkansas maybe. Possibly kid from UGA, forgot his name, if he can beat out the incoming freshman. Other then that who is going to be a good QB?
