Getting my July B&N list ready so far;

Midnight Cowboy, Female Trouble, Bull Durham, A Matter of Life & Death, Dragons INN.
July announcements threw off my older want list of titles ive had my eye on for a while.
Depending on my budget that month ill add Age of Innocence, Silence of the Lambs, The Awful Truth. And some day Ill be able to afford the Zatoichi box, but not today.

The new cover would be better as the DigiPack front.

That's the same artwork as the Sony release. WTF?

That SLV cover art is cool, I will agree. But it is NOWHERE as cool as the original. Not even close.

Hmm...I don't hate it but I did really like the homemade look of the other. I can live with it either way.

I’m irrationally pissed. First one was perfect in my opinion.

Much as I hate to admit it (c'mon, everyone here loves to be the one who guessed the clue correctly,) My Brilliant Career (My Brilliant Car Rear) looks like the correct answer!

Bravo!

Great list. The Silence of the Lambs release is great.

Personally, I'm looking to finally cross off some older ones from the wantlist with the Before trilogy, The Night of the Hunter, In a Lonely Place, Short Cuts, and The Red Shoes. I'm also planning on picking up A Matter of Life and Death and The Awful Truth.

Is there a compendium of all the clues and their (known) solutions somewhere?

For those of you with HBO, All the Real Girls (Mr. Spine #152's best film) is now streaming.

I'm more of a Snow Angels guy myself, but that's definitely a great movie (and Deschanel's best performance).

Would make a great Criterion release.

Brilliantly outlandish, but perhaps a little too outlandish for the commissioned cartoonist(s) at Criterion.

Probably not. Wouldn't really fit the mold of recent clues either. I want the film on Criterion but I never really got why anyone thought the clue was for it due to the fact it isn't really how they do their clues (in general).

It's almost definitely My Brilliant Career.

It definitely would. And as a Deschanel hater I was stunned by her performance in this film.

Snow Angels is really good too. The first two-thirds may be his best stretch of filmmaking, but I felt the film went a bit too far with Sam Rockwell's turn at the end.

I say we spilt the difference and hope for a 2 Romances by David Gordon Green box.
