Finally got around to watching O.J. Simpson: Made on America. Terrific but insanely long documentary. I actually found the first of the three part documentary the best, which covered his early life and football career. I never realized that Simpson had an awful first few NFL years and was almost written off as a draft bust. Basically Lou Saban taking over as Bills head coach saved O.J.'s career by transforming Buffalo into a run dominant team and giving Simpson vastly more carries. Had Lou Saban not taken over Buffalo at exactly the right time O.J. would probably be known mainly as a great college player who failed in the pros.

Man, WR Corey Davis on W. Michigan looks like a grown man playing against a bunch of high school kids out there. He should be highly sought after in the draft.

It doesn't matter. Lane Kiffin didn't make Alabama the juggernaut is, Nick Saban did. Kiffin is just a so-so coordinator. I'd be surprised if his ouster makes any difference at all.

Just went from bad to oh sh!t for USC. I must say this game is a bit of a shock to me.

If he's really hurt bad then it doesn't help with the trend of sitting out bowl games. Look for that to grow in the future.

What about the millions they are putting in jeopardy? Jaylon Smith lost multi millions because of his injury last year in a bowl game. Think Butts injury drops him a little? If so that means money lost. What about Jackson if his knee is shot? I can't say I blame them for doing it. Don't think we will see 8 game playoff because of this either. They would just be adding another game to play and get injured in. That's not going to help the issue. I hate it but that's what's coming. More top prospects sitting out. Count on it. The golden years of college football I fear are behind us. Remember when college basketball was great? I do. I'm not sure how old some of you guys are. It's not great anymore. It's ok to good but not great. Football is about to enter that I believe.

No one is forcing them to play college football. Lay your heart and soul out on the field and leave the rest to God.

Always have the faith. This is the way it has always been. There is no need to check out now. Believe in yourself and what you have put out there. Put it on the line for your school and teammates. Don't be selfish. Do the right thing.

I'm sure Jaylon Smith would not agree. Going to college is about bettering yourself financially for most. I don't blame these kids. I think the selfish ones may be us, the fans.

Jaylon Smith said if he could do it all over, he would play in that bowl game again.
