Watched Despicable Me. Very cute movie with excellent use of 3D. Highly recommended.

Hubby and I watched Smallfoot this past weekend. It was just ok, not as enjoyable to me as Megamind or Despicable Me.

The story was not really interesting and the 3D was meh.
What we both hated in particular were those crappy songs. We hit the mute button every time one came on.

Two weekends ago we watched Yogi Bear which I really was kinda dreading however, I would watch it again.
I was pleasantly surprised at the decent storyline and the 3D effects are really good. Personally I like things flying off the screen, that is part of what the 3D experience, IMO, is all about.

Good 3D, and something that's not in very many 3D features, nudity. Just a little, and it was unexpected.

I no longer using them, I need to update my signature on here. I still have those TV's but switched to two psa 15 inch vented subs and chane center, towers and surrounds. Have the same Atmos in ceiling speakers but bought two emotiva amps. Had a house fire so when we moved to new house I bought that set up which I like a lot better. More clarity in the center speaker and those subs are on another level compared to my old svs pb-2000's.

Some are definitely locked, but it's not a problem having Oppo players with region free adapters.

If you want to know if a title is region free, just look up the thread for the film. It will say in the thread title.

Inspired by 2112’s post I watched Megamind. Turns out it’s my first time watching it.
This is a great 3D experience! Volume, depth and pop-outs. The shots of crowds outside the museum are really impressive. The sense of space between people is so strong it appears they’re social distancing six feet apart.

Okie, do you have abraham Lincoln vampire hunter? The title might sound silly but this is a real good story, cleverly thought out and with great 3D. Highly recommend it.

Glad to hear you enjoyed it!

I re-watch it every few months and still laugh at the jokes. I even find myself noticing small things in the background that I missed with previous viewings.

IMO it really isn't geared to a young audience.

And I love the music
and lines such as "I'm shaking in my custom baby seal leather boots"

How about the scene when Megamind enters Metrocity and stands on the steps of city hall facing all of the cops and reporters. Minion hits the button on the boom box and the song switches from AC/DC's "Highway To Hell" to Minnie Riperton's high pitched "Lovin You". I laugh at that every time

Totally agree, for an earlier 3D BLURAY, MEGAMIND has much to offer
just about anyone, and should be on everyone's 3D shelf !!

I don't recall the original estimate, but Star Wars just shipped on Monday and it arrived today via DHL. I had ordered with whatever the cheapest shipping was.

That was a tough one to get early on because it was one of those only bundled with a certain brand of player titles.
