I know this won't help you now, but when it comes to Horror Blu ray collections (and Blu Rays if we're being honest) never assume that a collection (or film) will be around for ever. Time and time again we've seen films go out of print after short periods of time. When a film/collection reaches a fair asking price that you can justify it's best to purchase immediately or risk missing out, possibly forever.

The Exorcist is the only movie from the set is worth getting. Exorcist III was decent but, the prequels and Exorcist 2 you can forget about. The prequels were completely boring. If you didn't see the prequels, you're not missing nothing.

I don't find the original remotely scary but it still works as a great drama but Exorcist III is actually scary and an even better film, IMO.

And here I thought the fiction of The Exorcist was wholesome Catholic entertainment.

Which priest is next? Dougal from Father Ted?

I've seen them all and out of the series I'd say that 1 and 3 are great and the rest are bad. That being said, I like to open complete series even when some are crap.

Exorcist III is a respectable film. I say it's totally worth getting it if one happens to like the franchise. Heck, if one *really* likes the franchise, then all the entries are worth it, even the bad ones (The Heretic, both version of the prequel).

Are the prequel films with Sony or Warner?
I already have the 40th Anniversary Edition and the Scream Factory releases of the second and third films. MOD releases for the prequel films would be enough to complete my collection, either from Warner Archive or whatever program Sony is running now.

We could use some exposition as to why Stevie boy was banned.

...where’s Christopher Nolan when you need him?

The prequels are bad but have so much going for them I have to at least like them. The atmosphere alone in The Beginning is better than in some recent acclaimed horror films IMO.

I enjoyed both versions of the prequel. They make an interesting double feature.

Why did this go OOP? It’s not an issue for me because I preordered it when it was announced but I’m just curious.
