They are UV and port to Vudu and Flixster after redemption at Universal.

If it's important the 17.99 item only have Itunes SD Digitals (technically expired, but I never can tell when these are really dead). The newer Collection from May has UV HD digital copies though the same discs, but at 29.99 is the best price I've seen.
The digital copy doesn't sway my decision I usually give them away on my Instagram lol

$17.99 just sound like an ok price to upgrade I'm just on the fence...they are the same discs in the new pack correct? Just wanna make sure there isn't a better looking version

Wow, I just read the review here on the site for this film and I so disagree about the rating givien for the 3D. I thought this was a fantastic 3D experience absolutely worthy of more than under 4 stars. This one had incredible dimension.

Anyone else having issues getting Jurassic World to play in a PS4? I just opened my copy and the movie wont play, I have BD live turned off and my internet connection disabled and I am on 3.10 firmware but the movie is constantly loading. Disc plays fine in a PS3, on the PS4 its getting stuck on the black screen with the white universal logo

Finished watching the movie just a little over an hour and a half ago, my second time since seeing it in the theater. Still highly enjoyable, it has its issues but damn it, it hits all the right notes for me and is just such a blast to watch. It's impossible for me to dislike this film.

The extras were fun enough to watch but nothing mind-blowing. They do indeed suffer from the movie simply being too recent; the extras are selling the film as much or more than they're informing us about the production. The deleted scenes were the most interesting thing, and in this case it's easy to see why they were deleted.

Oh, sorry, I guess I should've been clearer. I mentioned the '70s because if the T. rex had aged naturally and reached full maturity by '93 she'd have to have been born/hatched in the '70s. I wasn't arguing against you but more adding to what you said.

Oh, lol.
Well, the book took place in 1989.
I can't remember when they said that they actually started cloning the Dinos though...

In the movie, I don't think they've been doing it since the 70's
She (Rex) could have been about 3 years old in JP1.
We really don't know how fast a Dino grows.
Look at Dogs vs People.
Dogs are near full grown at 1 year, a person takes ~20 years.

Yes, I'm having the same problem. Funny thing is, it worked perfectly the first time. I watched a bunch of the extras but then had take a break. When I came back it would load and kept getting stuck on a black screen. Haven't tried again today though.

I remember how the pre-order card mentioned "3D" at the back of the card by the barcode, but did not mention 3D bluray anywhere else. Saw a customer arguing at best buy today when trying to pick up the 3D bluray combo pack from their previously purchased pre-order card, but Best Buy would not honor it and said it was for the 2D bluray combo pack only. Just curious if any other members were able to get the 3D bluray combo pack with the pre-order card, since 3D technically was priced at $24.99.
I know this was 14 pages back, but since no one answered you I will.

As you said, only the very top of the ISPO card even mentioned 3D; the rest of the card referred to "any Jurassic World Blu-ray". The fine print at bottom said the preorder gave you a discount of up to $19.99 off "any Jurassic World Blu-ray". Since I preordered it along with Inside Out (whose ISPO card has separate barcodes for 2D & 3D, unlike JW), I read that as meaning the 3D would most likely be extra; they certainly weren't gonna fill all the ISPOs in 3D.

That's how my BB handled my purchase (even though they had the same disclaimer posted), ironically on both regular & tin versions of the 3D: They initially allowed me to get the regular 3D for $5 extra (conveniently covered with a RZ certificate ), saying they ran out of the 3D tins and had reserved all their T-shirts for online preorders (even though my ISPO was over a month in advance). While I was having a CSR in movies research 3D tin stock at other stores, another CSR told him they just delivered a shipper with 3D tins and T-shirts to the front; I went back and they let me exchange the regular 3D for a 3D tin and T-shirt.

If you have more than one Jurassic world code you can use each code to unlock a free movie. So it's one free movie per code

My copy of Jurassic World arrived yesterday Although I haven't watched it yet, as I decided to (re)watch the original trilogy first. I already finished watching Jurassic Park, and now I'm around 30 mins into The Lost World.

Yes I know it's a thrilling way to spend a Friday night

I get stressed out on release day of my fav movies because I wind up putting about thirty miles on my car chasing different versions of the same film. It's like sweet pain. You can read my earlier post but to summarize, I didn't see the movie at theaters, wanted to but didn't. Didn't know this past Tuesday was JW day. Accidentally saw it in Walmart as I was picking a few things up. Didn't even buy it then at Walmart, but literally ran to my car to go to Best Buy and get this site on my phone to see what Best Buy had in the way of steels. I get there and find 2 3D steel tins (which I love), snagged both of those and at the front display I find the BB exclusive original films in tins. I originally thought they were all J world in different colored tins until a employee pointed out the difference. Picked up a set of 3 as well. I'm at Walmart the next day waiting for a prescription so the darn lunchbox started calling my name... Took it home. After my very first viewing of the film in 3D on my 60" tv alone, the credits are beginning to roll and I'm literally sitting there ordering the gift set from Amazon.

Even though I wound up with more stuff that I wanted to get, I'm still happy with my haul, but still feel like the movie companies are saying "gotcha!" It seems that this release was pretty successful as far as having enough copies of all versions available in release day.

What sucks is when you put thirty miles on your car only to find out that stores weren't supplied with enough stock, which has happened to me more than once. When that happens you don't even get a ribbon saying that you participated in the hunt. You get to get screwed on EBay! Lol!
Now I call that motivation.

Just the basic blu-ray for me, and I've had no problems with it. I was watching the special features and I was surprised how far a cry this film was from the original with all the cg-dinosaurs and backgrounds. Everyone kept saying so much how it is to act with nothing really there. I kind of missed hearing everyone talking about how real the dinosaur models looked from the first film.

Oh well, time marches on.

The movie doesn't mention when they started cloning the dinosaurs, the novel might but it's been a while since I read it so I can't remember. I don't think it does.

We do know how fast at least some dinosaurs grew. The bones contain layers, growth rings similar to what you'd see on a tree trunk, and they can figure out the age, growth patterns and such based on that. T. rex didn't start its fast growth until the age of 12, then reached maturity at around 18-20. Whether or not the JP dinosaurs age like the real animals did though is another question. I'm guessing they would under normal circumstances, but that InGen implement growth acceleration to get them "display-ready" sooner.

A Jurassic Park marathon sounds like the best possible way to spend a Friday night to me.

I agree, it really is a shame there weren't more animatronic dinosaurs beyond the Apatosaurus head.

Received my Limited Edition Gift Set today and I am really glad I didn't cancel the pre-order.
The package arrived in a great condition with excellent protection from air bags and the gift set looks amazing. The 2 dinosaurs' statues are heavy and of very high quality which was a nice surprise and the tin is not bad at all with no dents or scratches whatsoever. I think it is a good disc packaging between normal amaray cases and steelbooks and the embossing is great.

$25 is a good price for the discs in the tin packaging and $45 is very fair for the 2 statues so I think $70 is a very good price overall.

PQ and AQ are of reference quality too and the 3D is excellent. I already got the 3D single disc from the UK because it has Arabic subtitles for the family but the lack of full quality 2D option is now a non issue with the US 2D disc.
