Be jealous. South Park gifs are more interesting than your posts.

Is that what you're trying to say???

Wondering if your film would have got the same attention if not for the unfortunate back and forth letter writing between DF AND Roger Ebert?

The answer is no.
A movie that came out that violent and realistic looking would definitely get a lot of attention with or without Ebert. And for the record Ebert didn't pan the movie he actually gave it many compliments that was the basis of the whole debate we engaged with him. He gave it zero stars and no recommendation because he did not like the message he felt the movie portrayed. He felt it glorified or as he put it was the embodiment of pure evil. Ironic that Ebert would have a horrific demise not too long afterwards. There were many other bad coincidences that emerged from people involved with it as well. The hanging death of one of the Producers, the sudden and mysterious death of Sage, the mysterious death of the coroner on the extras...to name just a few. I would exercise extreme caution when you play with the real forces of darkness. In fact, it's best you are not even on the radar...

As for Clownhouse I said we would look into it as it is very intriguing. It does sound like something that would be difficult to do but everything we ever accomplished in this business has been very difficult to do and we have always had to listen to people telling us it couldn't be done. I plan on starting off by seeing the movie first and then proceed forward. If I don't like the movie it will end there. If for some reason I really like or even love the movie I could potentially become relentless in the pursuit of it. We'll see how it goes...

Sorry, are you trying to imply that there is some connection between Roger Ebert getting cancer and your film? I think that this has to be the shittiest attempt yet to promote a Dark Forces release.

Pretty sure "the basis of the whole debate" was you saw an opportunity to steal the open letter idea they used in the Last House on the Left advertising campaign so you took it. But hey, spin it however you like. It's Only A Movie right?

He still thinks his stupid wrestling type promotion will actually impress or intimidate people here.

I believe it got zero stars as it was probably the most boring, unoriginal and unimaginative movie Ebert ever saw.

Well, that just not true Woody . Obviously, Ebert hated the film but that does not = what you posted. In fact, quite the opposite...from Ebert’s review:

“Having seen it, I cannot ignore it, nor can I deny that it affected me strongly: I recoiled during some of the most cruel moments, and when the film was over I was filled with sadness and disquiet.”

I have not seen Chaos and don’t plan to as it is not something that appeals to me. Plus, there’s the (albeit extremely remote) possibility of the curse The Demon posted about. No thanks. However, it’s obvious that Ebert was affected by it...good or bad. Bad in this case .

How about threats of broken legs, anal rape by Nazi gangs, exploding hearts, and murder? We cool with all that?

Nothing new, but most our conversations here descend into some sort of threat. The juicier parts usually happen on FB.

Yup. This should be a place where we could all discuss our weirdness together. Judging by some of our collections on here, I’m sure the average person would think we are all weirdos.

Look I think people take things way too seriously and “too far”. I really could not care any less about what goes on at FB. DF, to his credit, has handled himself very well here. The guy has been “attacked” and insulted and he takes the high road...that shows a lot to me. That being said, no insults or name calling will be allowed by anyone.

I have disagreed with the label and with some of the promotional comments made but that’s it. The guy is a showman and that is obviously the way his markets his product...that his choice.

It is also everyone’s choice to read this thread and post. If something is so bothersome, ignore it and fallow another thread/label.

Bill (since it goes hand at hand)...is very reactionary and “aggressive”. I do personally like Bill..I think he is a nice guy that does not handle situations very well.

I have personally tried to be helpful to Bill on several occassions and his response is always the equivalent to kicking me in the groin. I have been frustrated at times by him...most of the regulars know it. However, I don’t take it personally and I keep supporting him and his efforts.

We are movie fans and sometimes we lose track of that. Once again, people take the online “beef” way too seriously. It gives many a means for self fullfilment .

I am older than most of you guys but not old at all. I am in my early 40’s and I have been working out (naturally) since I was 17...still go to the gym 2-3 times a week.

I could go FB start talking smack to DF and challenge him to “fight” . Obviously, it would only be a fight of words as I would not have any real intention of physically confronting him because...I have not fought anyone since I was 20, I am not a violent individual, I am not trained to fight, and because DeFalco would kick my ass in a real fight .

Just trying to make a point that is all.

Sounds like Titan is the one taking all this too seriously. Everyone else is just shit posting for Lolz.

Also, it's Billy that immediately goes to threats of rape and murder. DeFalco just joins in on the trash talk.

Lastly, Blu Titan, Tampa Cuban sammich vs Miami Cuban sammich. Choose a side.
