I use Head & Shoulders. Wash my hair 2 days a week.

But it's gotten to the point where it literally 'shows' from my head when I walk.

So annoying. And embarrassing when around girls.

Every day dries out the scalp. I wash my hair every other day. So for example: Sun, Tue, Thur, Sat, Mon, Wed, etc.

well....i don't know about the dry scalp as i don't have that. but i couldn't stand not washing my hair every day. it just feels nasty.

also, for those that "fix" their hair (mostly ladies, i guess), how do they do that if they don't wash it? getting out of bed and leaving your hair however it is, is something i'd think most people wouldn't want to do.

i personally keep my hair very short (i cut it with electric trimmers) so i don't have to worry about that. and i always wear a hat, so even if it WAS messy, you'd never see it, lol.

Do you mean, how do they keep their hair shape after getting it styled? Wrap your hair in tissue paper before going to bed.

No. I used to wash my hair everyday but my stylist told me not to.

Washing your hair everyday while using shampoo damages your hair and dries the scalp. It strips away all the hair oils.

Because of this, your hair follicles overproduce oil and thus greasy hair.

Washing the hair 2-3 times a week is better for your health. There are people who don't even shampoo. Instead they use conditioner.

My hair isn't oily and I wash it everyday though I use the 2 in 1 bottle. Dove men care which eliminates the dandruff (or close to it which I can't remember what the Doc called it) I get constantly on my face and hair when I don't use it. So possibly it varies from people to people.

Hoping that Best Buy and Target have a decent selection of $10 Blu Rays tomorrow. My domestic wishlist is currently at 41 titles and want to see that number go lower and lower.

Also, is having unprotected sex something we only do when we're young and dumb?

really? never heard of that

that wouldn't work for me (especially since i'm not a woman and don't style my hair) as i move a lot when i sleep. so if there was tissue paper on my head when i went to bed, it wouldn't be there in the morning, lol.

same here

if i don't wash it everyday, it gets oily and feels nasty as hell. which, in turn, makes me feel dirty/gross.

Every woman I know wraps her hair after getting it done at the salon. That way it stays nice for as long as possible.

After you wrap your hair, use little metal clips to hold it in place.

i don't know any women that get their hair done at a salon to where it would need to be wrapped like that. at least none that i've paid attention to.

my mom gets her hair cut at a little place about 2 blocks from here. i guess it's a salon... but she doesn't have her hair "done" or anything fancy; just cut. she "styles" it herself when she gets back home.

my sister gets hers cut at a salon, too, i guess. but hers is never "done up" or anything, either. just cut.

and little metal clips? that'd hurt like hell to sleep on something like that.

my hair's been kept very short for so long i can't remember the last time it wasn't this short. and by short, i mean like a crew/buzz cut. also, my hair is pretty thick. so if it gets any length to it, it makes me hot; especially during the summer.

One of these, two clips one on each side of the head. (Or if you sleep on your side, front and back). You can’t feel them.

I've just known older women who've done it to keep a curl or for body. Most women that I've dated, even with sort of treated hair, have never put their hair up before bed.
