It has always been my understanding of this thread that it is a place for cover artists to show their designs, get input on WiPs, and for others to learn about making and printing covers, and for everyone to offer opinions.

If I'm wrong about this, someone let me know. If I'm not wrong, how about we quit wringing hands over someone who got their feelings hurt over nothing.

Gotcha

This may also end up being a series I do for films with neat artwork that wasn't used on the official release

Having trouble sleeping so that's why I am uploading a few things I am doing while I sit up alone
This one has a lot of potential and with a few tweaks I think it could be great. I'd lower the wizard video logo on the spine and place the "01" above it, assuming this is going to be part of a numbered series. I'd also shrink the text and center it better on the spine as I feel the layout would read better if it didn't stretch the entire length of the case. I'd remove the "Wizard Video" logo from the front and resize the cover image to be centered and a bit larger on the front cover. I'd then add the "Manufactured by..." bit from the front logo to the back logo instead.

With those few tweaks I think that could make for a wonderful VHS inspired case that plenty of people would enjoy using. Obviously these are all just my own opinions though, so you do your thing, but with the changes I suggested I know I'd enjoy the cover that much more.

Thanks, I will look into it but the poster image is about the max size I can make right now without any real quality drop. I have been tinkering with the Wizard logo on the spine already and have moved it down and eliminated the number all together. I chose to keep that layout because that is how the Wizard Video VHS covers I remember were always done, the logo on both the front and the back just like this Zombie cover
http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-FNWRWCVjbs...rdsmallbox.jpg

I do all of these on MSPaint so I am extremely limited on what I can do but I have been happy with every one of them I have made so far (25 so far since I posted DellaMorte) and will try a few twinks you mentioned and see how they go. I doubt I will be sharing these because I usually don't keep covers on my computer after I print them and like I mentioned these are very basic covers that anyone can whip up in like 15 mins in photoshop

Default Guardians of the Galaxy - A-Holes Alternate

Made an alternate version of the Guardians A-Holes Edition with the
silver spine to match the rest of the Phase Two covers.
These covers are now available on my blog.

Very Cool! First time in a long time I've seen a Comic Book Film Cover that didn't outright make me cringe with poor photoshop. Great work!

Whitch is funny, because it was created in Photoshop. Thanks for all of the kind words, everyone.

I realize it was, but specifically I'm referring to the most recent Avengers 2 images people have been using for custom covers that has an incredibly awkward looking Robert Downey Jr. head on Iron Man's body. I've ranted about it previously in this thread if you want to see specifically what I'm referring to, just scroll back a few pages.

The digi-packaging I want to convert to 14mm Scanavo clear cases are:

Criterion's Carlos

Criterion's Ace in the Hole (Not on any site yet)

Criterion's Battle of Algiers

Criterion's Sanso the Bailiff

Criterion's Investigation of a Citizen above Suspicion (Not on any site yet)

Criterion's Che

I would greatly appreciate any help anybody can provide for this dilemma of mine. Feel free to private message me if you have any info. I have looked on every other site I can find online and cannot find the covers at the right dimension for the criterion cases .

Thanks!

To the best of my knowledge none of those have been created on any site fo the 14mm CC clear cases.

I do know that every Criterion release that's not in the Scanavo clear cases would be in high demand for custom cover collectors.

Default Eureka!

A review disc of the Blacula collection was looking a bit chilly, so decided to make a jacket for it. Used some rather nice Italian artwork for it, as well as reconstructing all the text and fitting them to a Blu-only edition, rather than the dual-format release.

Results below - compressed image for uploading, btw.

I've noticed that nobody here really has attempted something for this movie, when every retail release has had truly disgusting covers.

I am looking for English language covers of

1. Death Becomes Her
2. Memoirs of an Invisible Man
3. The Way We Were
4. The Mysterious Island (Ray Harryhausen)
5. The Money Pit
5. The Secret of My Success

Has anyone got an idea where I can get them?

It would be much appreciated.
