Ha ha. Sorry but that's not part of the triple feature. Bowie was great in Merry Christmas Mr Lawrence. |

![]() Tales of the Night 3D only has one English subtitle release available from a Taiwan release, and it is the only 3D title where I have to play two Blu-ray players in synch to get the 3D Movie on my display and hear the English audio track from the Blu-ray U.S. release! IMG_0048.jpg |

Watched the new Indicator version of "The Mad Magician". If it wasn't for my desire to support the making of classic 3D Blu-rays, I would have felt that I wasted my money. Unlike the 2nd version of "Inferno" which included a new commentary track and a "making of" featurette, there was nothing new here worth much. The small gauge shortened versions were unwatchable and of course showed us nothing new. And the color fading could have been restored to make them worth watching. Plus, the interview segment must have been done by someone who was totally incompetent in 3D filming! There was no way to see anything behind the speakers not in double vision. There was so much positive? negative?(never can remember which is which) parallax that one would have to be wall eyed to see one camera or one set of seating in the back. Either the horizontal alignment for the Blu-ray was off or the camera had too large an IA for the shot or a bit of both. I'm betting Mike B. can express this better. My money was wasted for viewing but good for promoting more classic 3D.

Thanks for confirming. Found the link on another thread and though it did not provide info on subtitles the cover matched that Paul posted. Also, the dvd equivalent did say English subs, so I guess it's the correct disc. Only cost $25.36 US. Just hope they still do ship to USA and don't cancel order. Hi Joe.
Tales of the Night 3D was very hard to find even in 2019. Had to Translate Chinese on a Taiwan site to order it. Even Invoice email receipts were all in Chinese. See: 博客來-枕邊故事(精裝) (藍光BD 3D版) It was $25.78 at that time. Screen Shot 2020-05-15 at 8.54.18 PM.jpg Last edited by Paul H; 05-16-2020 at 04:21 AM. |

Watched Avatar tonight, for the first time since I saw it theatrically. Technically, it's gorgeous. Super sharp and vivid on our 100" screen. Very impressive 3D. As a movie, it's OK. Starts out fairly strong, gets too swamped in action and cliche lines before the end. I liked the basic story better as Dances With Wolves.

Watched Step Up Revolution (aka Step Up 4). The Step Up series has some of the best 3D I've seen in cinemas. And it's still great at home. Parts 3 and 5 (Step Up All In) are my favourites but Part 4 is much better than I remembered. And the 3D is very nice. Still need to seek out All In in 3D Blu-Ray. Would also love to get Streetdance 1 & 2 in 3D Blu-ray but they're very hard to find (as you can tell, I like my dance movies in 3D).
Also watched Detective Pikachiu. Really enjoyable film. |
