I thought the exact same thing when I saw the trailer. I told my wife that this movie seems so heavy and serious. I hope Abrams has properly balanced the dark with some light-heartedness as well.

I loved the trailer and have watched it a couple dozen times. Got a ticket for 7:50 on the 17th and one for the afternoon of the 18th.

Fortunately I had no problems with Cinemark's website. I'll just have to save my Fandago gift cards for later viewings.

Same with me. It's funny but based on this trailer alone, it makes the prequels seem so amateurish and silly by comparison.

Look at, arguably, the best film of the OT - Empire. It's certainly the darkest and the trailers showed no "fun" in it. They're going after that. Kasdan was also the one that wanted Jedi darker than it ended up being. This is not going to be a "light" Star Wars movie. Nowadays, nothing has that carefree attitude. That's not what audiences want.

Guys don't worry! The top billed actors are Ford, Hamill, and Fisher according to the credits. They will very much be in this movie. Abrams is holding his best cards close to his vest (as expected). The plan is working because we are all salivating for more.

That sucks for you then I guess. It feels far more Star Wars than the prequels do, from a visual and design standpoint.

I honestly believe you're rooting so hard for this film to fail so you can say "see, and people thought my precious prequels were bad."

Are you even going to allow yourself to enjoy this thing or will you be looking to pick everything a part the entire time?

The bar has been set so low with the prequels that Abrams would need a shovel to go any lower with The Force Awakens.

I loved the trailer and the fact that it didn't show me the entire film in 2 minutes.

what i find interesting about the trailer......it didn't show us a whole hell of a lot.

yeah, a few new shots here and there......but no Luke.....other than in the one shot where we assume it's him.

People say trailers reveal too much information about the movie in those 2 1/2 minutes and b!tch about it non-stop.

here we have a trailer that seems to be holding it's cards close to it's chest......and people are b!tching about it too.

this trailer takes me back to a time when the trailers job was to get you interested in the movie and spending your money to go and see it......not when you were spoon fed the entire plot in less than 3 minutes.

I'm a 47 year old original trilogy junkie who stood in long lines back in 1977 to watch A New Hope multiple times. I also found the prequels (while not a complete waste) to be quite disappointing and underwhelming... but they did not make me hate Star Wars at all and I own them anyway. That being said... The Force Awakens trailer and poster have me stoked beyond belief... it looks and sounds like the Star Wars of my youth. The trailer last night was amazing... December 17th can't come soon enough!!!

You're entitled to your opinion of course... but FYI... your opinion is in the seriously small minority. And reading this and your past posts it seems you're just grumpy and you've already decided you hate this movie with the intensity of a 1000 suns. If you know your going to hate this movie as you hate JJ Abrams work... why not just state your opinion and move on to something else... why try and piss all over everyone else's excitement each and every day???

However, after looking at it, it isn't Han on she is crying over it. I believe it to be Finn.

I believe you see the cuffs of the jacket, and it looks like the one Finn wears:

That's what I thought, that looks like a tan jacket to me.

My interest level was dying off before last night but that was a cool trailer I have to admit. Finally a Star Wars movie worth seeing since the 80s.
