Benjamin Button?
Is this the only movie to be added in the Criterion Collection on its initial release?

True for online. Probably can still use a single coupon at the store though. Stacking coupons seems to be a thing of the past however.

Google "dvdtalk barnes noble" to see what's current. The 10% store coupon I saw there this morning expires 11/21.

No, recall spine #300 was similar (yes, it was Wes), no doubt there are others.

Paris, Texas by a mile. Repulsion is ridiculously boring.

I would of LOVE to have seen your post ("insulting member") before it was edited by Beta. My "Hollywood bashing" didn't start until someone pretty much called Brakhage films crap (unless I misunderstood they "are not real movies but flickering images"). But I guess thats okay to do while me bashing Blu-ray forum's fav HD OMG movies are not cool.

Dang CG, making up stuff again, since you know, everything is there to re-read.

I wonder what would happen if I say Seven Samurai? I rather watch a real movie instead of 7 guys playing with their swords. About 3-4 pages that will prob be deleted is what would happen.

I'm asking because I've wanted Paris, Texas for quite a bit, but I recently saw how Rotten Tomatoes had Repulsion under one of the scariest movies of all time so it's sparked my interest. Or I might just get Winter's Bone, I dunno.

Even though I did just get Paths of Glory today so maybe I'm rushing.

Has anyone else noticed that the 5 films in the John Cassavetes set all have HD available on Netflix Streaming? Could a Blu Ray release of this set be around the corner or does this not mean anything? I turned on Chinese Bookie for a few minutes and the quality looked pretty nice, much better than the DVD release.

It can be very chilling at times but it's not exactly a scary movie.

It's a very good movie and if you like Polanski it's something you should definitely see (you'll definitely get Rosemary's Baby and The Tenant vibes) but I'm not sure it's a blind buy. It's the kind of thing you'll either really, really like or think 'well, yeah, okay, I guess I can kinda see why people like it buuuuut...'.

Yeah, I guess Paris, Texas seems like the suitable choice for now, but I will get Repulsion eventually.

The beauty of your responses is that they never address what is actually presented to you but rather build you a bigger soapbox to spew your rambling nonsense from.

Default Criterion on Blu question.

Does anyone have a complete list of all the films that have been released from criterion on BD up to this day and films coming soon? Also wich films are OOP? I also heard some films released from Criterion on BD that are OOP are released from studio canal now wich ones so I can see the difference in features/picture.

Any help would do.

I am now starting to collect criterion on BD. I know im late in the game but hope i can catch up soon. So far I own:

BOTTLE ROCKET
THE DARJEELING LIMITED
HOUSE
IN THE REALM OF THE SENSES

I can't wait to get my favorite Cronenburg film VIDEODROME.

I hope we get a re-release from Criterion of films THIS IS SPINAL TAP, FANTASTIC MR.FOX, WHITNAL AND I, FEAR AND LOATHING IN LAS VEGAS, and DAZED AND CONFUSED (being released soon to bd from universal but the dvd I own kills it in content).

You can browse titles by studio on this site. The Third Man is OOP and I think there may be a few others.
