Am looking forward to seeing this in March. Finally read A Princess of Mars last week, will probably read some of the other ones later on.

Wow. I keep overlooking this one in light of so many other awesome looking movies coming out this year. Amazing Spider-Man, The Dark Knight Rises, The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, The Lucky One (Not kidding), and Wrath of the Titans I am looking in your general directions. I do want to see this one though.

This is how I felt too. I saw the first trailer and didn't think much of it, but when I saw the second one when I saw Sherlock Holmes it made me want to go see this now. Can't wait to see it!

lol, the 'warnings' accompanied by the age rating on films are always amusing to me.. they cant just say 'Contains Violence', they now have to say 'Sequences of Violence' as if to re-assure parents the whole film is not a violent mess from start to finish.

The funniest one I have seen would be 'Some scenes will scare young children'

John Cartler looks like an amazing... video game. Just not a movie. And what's with the terrible cover of Zeppelin's Kashmir?

The Clone Wars has something along the lines of Tobacco Use.

But yeah, the one you mentioned is my favourite too.

I wanna see John Carter. I like 3D and big-budget messes of sci-fi and CGI. Looks like some big, dumb, Clash of the Titans-ish fun!

!

Speaking of...

I watched some 'Clone Wars' last night and was delighted that it showed a few of it's characters deaths in it. One guy getting speared through a chair and a ship blowing up without any parachutes seen afterwards!

Very refreshing. I haven't seen a cartoon series showing character deaths since way back in the 70's with 'Speed Racer'.

I think that I might just try and catch a few more episodes to see if it holds up.

It's a lot of fun. I have two seasons. Very violent, but I sit with my kids whilst they watch and answer any questions they have.

What was this thread about again?

I dunno...concept seemed cool at first, but I lost interest the moment I saw the Disney logo. A sci-fi war movie funded and published by Disney? I can't express how tame I expect this to be.

This movie just doesn't wow me like Disney intended...I think it may do poorly at the box-office. The budget was $250M so it can not get by with doing ok, it needs to be huge.

Thats what I though of the instant I saw him. Makes me wonder why in the world Disney would give John Carter a very similar costume as that bomb, do they want people to get a bad taste in their mouths?

I'm really glad no one is judging the film without having seen it.

I remember the first hints about a film called Star Wars. The general opinion was "who would want to see a film about two robots who are involved in a war in space?"
