UK Slipcover Thread - Page 9 - Blu-ray Forum

Do any of you guys have a method of finding out whether or not a website is still shipping a blu ray with a slipcover? I've emailed Amazon with a list before but after waiting a week the reply they gave me just said they didn't (when some still do, I've been told).

Anyway, the main reason I don't collect slips as much as I could is I like waiting for a price drop (being a cash-strapped student), so it would be nice to know if some titles that have been out for a few months still come with slips.

Cheeky, but there must be some way of knowing!

ONLY website I know that has actual control on the matter is HDMS
Always ask them before ordering.

Thanks, I will check that out. I generally get slips by pure luck, with the exception of the Pixars.

I emailed them last week and they said it doesn't. I have seen it in hmv stores recently with one, and the hmv exclusive slip which looks better IMO.

What?! That's not fair. I got mine day of release and it didn't come with a slip. I didn't even know it had one.

I can't seem to find a picture of it right now, but basically the regular slipcover is just the same picture as is on the actual case cover, whereas the hmv exclusive is lenticular and has a different picture (Coraline crawling towards a window with a beige background - if memory serves).

hum.. unless there was a exclusive HMV version.. but I think there's only one version out there which is the lenticular.

Has anyone received Cars or Ratatouille from DVD.co.uk recently? I e-mailed them and they said they 'believe' both ship with slipcovers... which doesn't fill me with confidence.

I did. PLAY sent me a TS1 (slipcased too) inside the envelope instead of the TS2. The paper receipt has TS2 on it though... I emailed AMAZON UK and they confirmed the TS2 set ships with a slipcase so I ordered it from them. That was two days ago though.
