If the US does not get this and that limited edition briefcase is Region Free, I'll probably end up importing it. It looks real nice and I haven't had a chance to get in on some of the exclusives the UK has dished out recently. I'm also pretty excited about the Maximum Movie Mode because it's my favorite feature to come from Blu-Ray and Inception seems like a perfect film I'd like to see it for. December 6 is gonna be a good day!

It looks like dreams do come true as the Triple Play Limited Edition Briefcase will house the movie and some extra gifts for the consumers.

Inside the silver suitcase, which replicates the one seen in the film, is a spinning top “totem,” movie art cards, a PASIV Device User Manual and three copies of Inception - DVD, Blu-ray and Digital Copy.

As for the bonus features, there are only a few, but they sound appealing enough. Director Christopher Nolan and Leonardo DiCaprio will host the Maximum Movie Mode, a unique Warner Bros. commentary that implements a more interactive behind-the-scenes look as you watch the film.

Included are “The Cobol Job” and “The Big Under,” two digital comics that serve as prologues to Inception and expand on Leonardo DiCaprio’s backstory leading up to the dream theft seen at the beginning of the film. There is also a documentary-style segment on dream research that should be similar to the viral clip released before the movie.

Expect a more formal announcement on the home video release details soon, but this is the first explanation of what we can expect when one of the year’s best films hits shelves. No date has been announced, but rumors have started on a potential December release.

Sweet. I figured there would be the Maximum Movie Mode. Hopefully more details (like additional bonus features, a firm release date, etc.) are revealed soon.

Pre-ordered the special edition briefcase from Amazon.uk. Release date is December 6th. it's 44.xx USD shipped to America for those wondering. Totally worth it.

That's not a bad price (I was worried that shipping would push this over the $50 mark, even though N. American consumers get a break on the VAT removal). If nothing comparable is offered in the US, I will be importing this set as well.

If there is a comparable U.S. release with all the stuff for cheaper I will replace my order with that. But I couldn't pass up on the pre-order early. If they really are limited I want to secure one now.

I agree, too bad it's always 2-3 times as expensive. (and I fixed the term, you may want to as well)

Then people from the U.K. shouldn't be called "The Brits" (which has been used by someone here) and people from Canada shouldn't be called "Canucks" and people from America shouldn't be called "Yanks" etc., etc.. That'd only be fair.

Pre-ordered from Amazon UK after I missed it on my intital search, came to 28pounds so after conversion came to about $45 dollars Canadian, which is a price I'm willing to pay especially if this is a limited editon release (which common how many brief cases can they make right?).

Aren't there quite a few Blade Runner Ultimate Collector's Edition suitcases out there? Seeing as this is a UK exclusive (for now), the manufacturing run for this should be substantially smaller. Then again, the film has performed well overseas, so interest may be high once word gets around.

Either way, I just pre-ordered this set. When or if something similar is announced for N. America, I can always cancel the UK pre-order, if need be.

There's only 2500 Blade Runner Blu-Ray brief cases says so on the bottom on the brief case I was going to buy one but opted out as I already had the Blu-Ray.

Not to get eveyones hopes up BUT I was going through all of Warner Bros. releases in the UK and all of them seem to be region free so who's to say this one won't be either?

Warner doesn't region code their movies. I've had movies from all regions. No worries there.

pre-ordered as well from amazon.co.uk.

45 bucks really isn't that bad for the limited edition set. Just hoping everyone is right about it being region free. Can cancel anytime before it ships just in case a US version is cheaper.
