Been playing BF3 that past 2 nites with these, and the sound quality is amazing. Since i can't turn up the HT with the wife & daughter sleeping at nite, these adequately replaces the HT!! I barely have the volume turned up on these, and there loud & clear.....

Wife is happy she doesn't have to hear the game drop the F-bombs, and/or the ppl with mics that feel the need to vent here & there..... But i think she get when she's talking, and i don't hear her

So I was thinking about getting these(I think the wife is getting them for me since i dropped the hint for her)

My Bday is Nov. 6 and I already am getting MW3, are these Headphones really good Quality? Thanks for any feedback

My opinion, the only flimsy construction would be the mic boom. When you slide it out from the left headphone, it feels somewhat cheaply designed. Need to make sure you slide i back, when taking them off your head, or you might snap the mic off, when placing it somewhere. When slide in, i'd say it sticks out from left earpiece maybe 1", and seems to be more sturdy in that position. Would like to know if mic picks up voice without extending mic, but every game of BF3 i've played so far, the mic's don't seem to be working (squad based).


Outside of that overall construction is impressive. Very comfortable to wear!! I'm happy with the purchase....

I dont even slide it out since the blue light can get annoying in the dark. Everyone seems to hear me just fine with the mic pushed in.

I can agree with everything you said. Not only do I love the PS3 headphones my wife does as well.

The headphones are awesome. They have become a must have item for me, especially for late night gaming. Now I can get the full surround sound experience late night without having to turn on my actual sound system They also sound great with blu-ray movies, I've watched all six Star Wars movis with them as well as Sucker Punch and the audio is fantastic. They are absolutely great quality and very, very comfortable. A great product in every way.

@Gamer Magazine gave them a 5/5 rating, and I think the only other 5/5 they've given on a headset is the Turtle Beach $250 wireless (and maybe a PC-Only $300 set.)

Sound in Battlefield 3 is AMAZING. The only problem I ever have is hearing bullets hit behind me and have an instinctual jerk around behind me to look while I then get shot in the back. As far as actual gunshots I can always tell EXACTLY where they are coming from without even looking on the map.

I got the headset and Uncharted 3 from the Kmart deal and I'm loving the headset so far. Was using them last night playing U3 after my fiancee went bed. Will be great for the nights I work late and want to play when I get home.

1) can we use it to watch movies as well? I mean blu-ray discs and also other copied movies on external hard disks? I have a lot of movies on HD that I need to see at late night without disturbing the wife so is it compatible with BDs and HD media?

2) Also since its wireless how is the audio? 5.1, 7.1? I mean does it justifies the price? I am very anxious to buy this.

3) Which is the best and cheap place to buy this?

1) Yes, you can use it to watch your movies. You can also plug it into your computer and use it there if you have movies there but aren't networked to it via your PS3.

2) Audio is spectacular in games. Most people on this thread have said the audio in movies is great, too, but it's not true 5.1, just surround. "Justify the price".... Compared to other, far more expensive headsets, this one trumps them all. I love my set much more than my Turtle beach 7.1's I had (wired) that were $50 more.

3) Keep an eye on Amazon.com, I'm sure they'll have a spectacular deal for Black Friday. You just missed K-Mart's "Buy Uncharted 3 and the headset for $120 total PLUS a $20 gift card back" promotion.

Another HUGE perk to these headphones is that I am CURRENTLY wearing them even though I haven't played a game for a half hour. The only way I can tell I even have them on is that my typing is muted, lol.

I'm not sure if I like them for MW3.With black ops there were options for sound.Not on MW3.Would be nice to turn down the theme music.Hearing other players is kinda choppy too sometimes.Watched "fast five" last night.Sounded great.

Modern Warfare 3 is having chat issues. Not sure what is up with all of these games coming out with bad chat. First it was Borderlands, now it's BF3 and MW3. I have a friend with a standard bluetooth earpiece and he said I sounded like I was talking out of a tin can, and he sounded the same way. It's even worse in party for some crazy reason. Many other players said they were having the same issue (not to mention that one of the most popular headsets is giving TERRIBLE white noise feedback.)

Thanks for the heads up.Also, do you find it hard to hear the enemy team?Like in black ops I can hear the other team(and mine) running. I can hardly hear any foot movement.
