I found this image of it (much higher res):
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...L._AA1500_.jpg

If you squint you can kind of read the special features:
- Blu-Ray Complete Guide to Westeros
- Anatomy of an Episode
- In-Episode Guide
- Hidden Dragon Eggs
- Making of Game of Thrones
- Creating the Show Open
- From the Book to the Screen
- Character Profiles
- The Knights Watch
- Creating the Dothraki Langauge
- Audio Commentaries (it looks like it says 7 audio commentaries)

You might wanna scrap that idea of waiting. One of the producers said that they could see this show going for about twenty seasons! :P haha

As nice as the first season package is, I'll wait for the complete series box set. And with having HBO GO, that almost makes the eventually box set irrevelant...almost.

A close look at one of the high res images shows each disc has 2 episodes + bonus features. Hopefully high bit rate episodes to max out PQ!

God that set looks to good. The artwork looks amazing. I have been blown away by this series and alot of that was down to Sean Bean for me.
[Show spoiler]His character was just amazing and i really hope that the show can cope without him in the next series.

It is also surprising that they chose to put the episode guide in a booklet rather than just print it on the insides of the digipak like True Blood as well. I'm not complaining though as this should shape up to be another stellar TV release from HBO on Blu-ray.

Ooops, my bad! I looked on IMDB and, quickly, saw that some cast members had starred in 12 episodes and just assumed that was how many were in the first season. Maybe imdb added 2 episodes from S2 to their credit?
In any event 2 episodes/disc would be great! Plenty of room for commentaries and other extras!

I saw that too... and without reading the books, assumed it could be a spoiler of sorts. Be careful with this series!

Does pre-ordering now at Amazon guarantee you the price? Cause this link is saying it's gonna be 79.99 and Amazon is still carrying it at 54.99.

The price released by the studio is always high. I'd expect to see this stay at 54.99 on Amazon, maybe even a little lower as the release date approaches.

Eh, it's HBO, all their sets are always pricey and rarely on sale until years later. Hell the Deadwood complete set is till 100+ bucks and drops below that maybe once or twice a year for a few days.

Can't hurt to pre-order this one, they don't charge you til it ships anyways.

It's pretty standard for every BD release, regardless of studio.

If you go on Amazon, you'll see that Boardwalk Empire's BD list price is also $79.99, but it sells for $45.99. It'll be the same case here.
