If I bought something at Best Buy and used shopkick codes with the purchase and I decide I want to take those items back - what happens to my shopkick discounts? Are they gone for good or do they go back into my account?

Also, can you use your shopkick codes for bestbuy on their website?

I got a reply back today on the purchase kicks. They're back on 2 purchases a week. A bit ticked off about this because it's not mentioned anywhere. They had this limit on the over $10 deal, but didn't think it carried through to this new schema.

Hey guys. I'm new to this app and just have two questions. I read through the thread, and I don't believe they've been covered, but I apologize if they have.

1. Regarding getting points at Best Buy for purchases. If I link my debit card, do I still have to give the person at Best Buy my phone number and have them do the "s" for shopkick thing?

2. I know we're apparently unable to use points online at this time, could you in theory use the points at Best Buy, and buy a BB gift card, and then use that on-line? There's plenty of times what I want, is unavailable in stores.

Okay - I returned items to best buy and, of course, no one at the store knew anything about shopkick to let me know where my 4 dollars went.

On the receipt it says it went back into a "loyalty account". I took that to mean back into my shopkick account but I've looked all over the app and can't find any gift certificates or points being put back.

Any one know? Is there a wait time to get the 'refund'.

Did you check your RZ account?

Whenever I've returned an item and used RZ certs, my receipt indicates the value of the RZ certs I used went back to my "loyalty account" which is the RZ account.

I'm not sure where refunds of SK points go to, if it's back to the SK account or to the RZ account.

BTW, BB has 100 pt scans on 3 WD devices today.

Of course, my BB only has 2 of the 3 items.

1. BBY doesn't do linking. So you can use any form of payment, but have to ask them to enter your SK-registered phone number during the purchase to get kicks for your purchases.

I quoted the wrong thing, but regarding the WD 100-kick scans...the WDTV should be in the home theatre area, not where the other 2 WDs are (if you haven't looked there already).

Thank you! I usually give my phone number for my reward zone card. My dog ate my physical card. Will the points show up just doing that, or do they need to do a separate thing? Sorry again to be a newb.

They need to enter your phone number on a separate line as well. If you click the page where it shows how many kicks you get for each dollar spent it details the process. Also mentions the two purchases a week limit there too.

So...I scanned an item a few days ago, Scrabble Catch Phrase, for I think it was 25 kicks. Now, it's up to 100 kicks. Obviously I'm stuck within that 30 day window, so I can't scan it again can i?

That's funny and what I would have thought myself, but at my store the WDTV was with the other WD stuff, like the hard drives and routers, not with the other TV/media stuff, like Roku, Apple TV, etc... where I would've expected it.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure my BB didn't have this. They had a bunch of other WD hard drive, just not this one (of course).

My local store is apparently the smaller of the two near me and doesn't always have everything, which the other one often does. I'll go out to the other one, which is 20 minutes away, to pick up an item that I can't find at my store, but it's not worth it to go there just for kicks.

The good thing was that the WD products were also found at Walmart, so I got the My Book Live scanned there. The funny thing was that WM only had the My Book Live, but not the other two WD items.

I was tempted to scan the My Book Live at BB, or the router and WDTV at WM using printed out bar codes, but then I remembered deltasun's little warning about using those.

I figured SK was "testing" me.
