Well, I only looked up those four as they were the ones deepred was inquiring about. I hope they do have the rights to Grapes, but Synapse had the U.S. dvd release in 2002, and a company called Video Search of Miami is listed as having some sort of rights in 2009. Redemption is listed as having U.K. rights in 2004 though, and hopefully they picked up the U.S. rights since then.

Don May told me Synapse won't do a bd of GRAPES because he wouldn't be able to oversee the transfer process. If it gets released in the US, it'll have to come from someone else, some how.

And VSoM is a gray-market/boot operation.

yeah i guess i just cant read today haha.
i know Synapse put out the dvd of Grapes, as i bought it day one, but i dont think its totally impossible that Kino could end up with it. heres hoping anyway.
as for which titles im looking forward to, Night of the Hunted and Living Dead Girl are 2 i can think of off the top of my head that were definitely under the Redemption banner that i wouldnt hesistate to buy. but really id pick up any Rollin they end up putting out eventually.

Redemption do indeed own the world rights to all Jean Rollin films and have done for years,Jean signed over his entire catalogue to Redemption during a deal made in Cannes years ago as he wanted them all under one "roof" where they would be cared for.
Any non-Redemption branded releases are through licensing deals.

I am hoping for Living Dead Girl, Grapes of Death, Demoniacs, and Night of the Hunted. I haven't seen the last 2 but I am definitely curious.

Here's my most anticpated Rollin's in order...Requiem For A Vampire,The Rape Of The Vampire,The Living Dead Girl,Grapes Of Death,Night of The Hunted,Demoniacs,Two Orphan Vampires,Fiancee Of Dracula.

If you enjoyed Living Dead Girl and Grapes Of Death you'll probably enjoy Demoniacs and Night Of The Hunted too....Night Of The Hunted has a similar feel to Cronenberg's Shivers to my mind, but that might just be me

Shivers! There's a movie I'd like to see on blu-ray. I've heard Night of the Hunted compared to it before and I loved Brigitte Lahaie in Fascination so I def want to see it.

Can't wait for Nude, Shivers and Lips to arrive - haven't seen any of those yet.

Night of the Hunted is, for me, the worst and most boring Rollin. (I saw 80% of his films, at least)

If you could only buy one of the five of the Rollin's BD's which one would you buy? I am thinking of buying one of them and if I like it maybe buy some more.

Ordered all of these BD's off an Amazon Marketplace seller as soon as they were available(off a company that also sells on the U.S site too)and at decent prices(around £11.50 delivered here to the UK)who then sat on my order for 4 days and then has just cancelled them all,now the cheapest seller with them available is £15.50 each, not impressed

Difficult to say,Fascination is probably his most accessible work as it doesn't feature many lengthy scenes without dialogue but on the other hand if the whole goth erotic vampire thing is your bag you'd maybe be better with Shiver Of The Vampires.

Whichever you go with though, you'll definately be in for bags of atmosphere and a visual treat
