It looks great but its about double the price of the UK release. UK option will be fine for me, I'd rather just have the discs in a digipak, digistack or four 12.5mm boxes.

Heh, true enough. Our price is very reasonable.

I'm not familiar with British prices. Can we anticipate the price to eventually drop more for this release? Maybe to £20?

I doubt that this eight film box set will drop below the mid '20's. There aren't many eight film box sets about Harry Potter is one example (that's hit just over £30) and there's the Planet of the Apes set which has less films but has gone below £20.

Doesn't say it's a Play exclusive either, so I guess we can expect to see it at amazon, HMV and others too.

I want to know how the interior looks before buying that coffin.
Hopefully someone in the blu-ray customising thread will make some nice custom covers, similar to the French ones.

^Bingo. If the discs come in cases inside that thing it'd be cool but anything else might turn out too gimmicky. Also, what is that thing made of? Will it be durable or fall apart once you've opened it a few times?

I pre-ordered. It costs $70 after conversion so it's $20 more than the regular set but still cheaper than the US version and with a nicer packaging. I have both the regular and the coffin editions pre-ordered so depending on the amount of money I'll have in October, I'll pick one but the coffin edition looks much more tempting.

20 dollars for packaging just isn't worth it. If they had extra films or bonus discs of some sort, I'd reconsider.

This is what i've been waiting for!
60€ free shipping from play.com isn't bad at all, even a nordic release cost me 50€ plus shipping and its realy look perfect for display!

The collectors edition is nice and all, but I can't find anything that says it will include the book and artcards that the regular set has. I'd rather have those to be honest. If the collectors edition has them, then awesome! But I can't seem to find out right now.

I'll try and ask a rep from Universal in my next meeting (though they usually don't understand about packaging/extras).
