i really hope they follow suit with IMAX scenes on this one also like TDK had. But this is a whole other beast with over 70 min of IMAX scenes. So maybe we will not get so lucky this time

I don't think the amount of IMAX footage makes any difference.

I sure wasn't disappointed.

Sometimes people set expectations too high.

I rarely ever.

I was disappointed in this movie, only due to the fact that TDK is my favorite film, and I was hoping this one would top it. It just didn't for me, but that's quite alright because it brought the trilogy full circle.

I'd still prefer just the logo than the ugly blue "bubble" that Warner put on their discs in 2009. I do hope WB considers putting some nice artwork on this. They've made exceptions before.

1. Its not fair ppl compare this to TDK (Almost perfect movie)

2. This is the BLU RAY thread so therefore if you dont like the movie then please dont even click on the damn thread. No one really cares about why you didnt like it. Every time we reply we are just feeding the trolls. (including myself)

3. Uhhhh idk i think i just let it all out on 2. soooo I CANT WAIT FOR THE BLU RAY!! Great end to one of the best trilogy of all time.

Since you're obviously the authority here, how does someone simply saying they were disappointed mean they didn't like it? And how are they trolls just for saying that? I think people on this site have lost track of what the term troll is meant for. And yes it is fair for me (and anyone) to compare this to TDK. They're part of the same trilogy, done by the same filmmakers.

I'm not going to take this further, but I get defensive when people undermind my point with these kinds of statements. I'm not a damn troll. I liked this movie a lot. And I think piercem14 has every right to say he was disappointed. He didn't just unreasonably bash the film.

I liked TDKR about as much as Batman Begins, and while both enjoyable, I don't think either is all that great. I think Nolan's best when he's got some narrative gimmick; TDK somehow rose above the tiresome angst and clanging soullessness of his approach to Batman, but TDKR doesn't quite make it.

All the same, I'm in for the IMAX scenes. Hope WB finally gets one of these blu-rays right.

I really hope Best Buy does another steelbook to match up with the previous versions on release.

IMAX version would be great too, since 70% of it was shot in IMAX. Let's hope Christopher Nolan is more generous than Brad Bird was on the release of Mission Impossible 4.

It's not 70%, it's 70 minutes. Which is a bit less than half. Still, a pretty impressive amount.

Definitely impressive. And those scenes were amazing on the ginormous IMAX screen.

He never likes 3D, but he loves IMAX 70mm format. In fact he's the first to release shifting ratio for IMAX scenes (though shifting ratio is not new, I believe Dr. Strangelove was the first).

Ah! Silly mistake. Thanks for correcting me. Definitely looked great on the screen, though.

And he did so with TDK, so I'm expecting, and hoping that this film translates the same on BD.

Anyone catch wind on what David Cronenberg said about TDKR and super hero movies in general?

I thought I read he thinks it's... "interesting" and he's curious about it. However, I'm glad that he didn't do this in 3D, and personally, his movies don't need any extra gimmicks to enhance the viewing; he adds so much depth to the story or fleshing out the characters, he's not like James Cameron nowadays needing gimmicks to help.

Seems the page linking broke even tho the price linking still worked, as the skus are correct.

Links all fixed now.

Why did the date change from 7th (Friday, what I reported with a given source) to the 9th (Sunday, what someone edited to with no source, but my source still credited falsely)?
