If the blu-rays are freshly remastered in a modern 4K workflow vs whatever ancient source they're using otherwise, that's still gonna be a big improvement (for titles like Ghostbusters anyway... Sony's been mastering new movies in 4K for years so it's just a sticker).

Is it wrong to suspect that, like Superbit DVDs, these will be movie-only discs with no extras in order to maximize the space available for the transfer? I guess that makes sense to me...there really wouldn't seem to be any reason to put out new discs for the new movies or Taxi Driver if that isn't the case.

I'm looking forward to the new transfers of Ghostbusters and Spider-Man which were both sourced from 2K scans on their earlier Blu-Ray releases I believe. I wish Sony would redo The Life Of Brian too, the frozen grain on the current release is quite distracting.

I wonder if their Total Recall "mastered for 4K Ultra" has had the audio problems fixed.
Somehow I'm guessing not. |

IF these films were released (and if blu-ray had an uncompressed video format) they would require over 1tb of space, so ANY releases, no matter of its 1 or 2 hours, that just uses the disc for audio and video files and uses every inch of space will look better |

![]() I wish Sony would do films for this series that are in desperate need of remastering like The Life Of Brian and Bram Stoker's Dracula. Both films can look much better than they're current Blu-Ray transfers. |

Only 3 of them come from new Masters:
- Glory - Ghostbusters - Spider-Man the other releases are just useless as they already come from 4K masters... Total Recall because of the low bitrate of the current BD is worth a look... |

Other than Ghostbusters, I don't think any of that is officially confirmed, so buyer beware. It's quite possible Glory was a 4K scan off from an IP to begin with, and who knows what's going on with Spiderman.
