It's a bit of a gamble to expect it to drop in price, but I wish you luck!

I have to admit that I'd bite if these were more like $25 USD, similar to Aladdin. $30 for 2D only is too rich for my blood.

10,000 and they raised the price? Who wants to argue that Zavvi isn't being greedy now?

There's a huge reason they've got 10k coming. They now ship internationally.

Nowhere else in the world have I seen the announcement of these titles and that instantly means that is 10k copies for this on a worldwide basis. NOT a big step up from the usual round that would be in circulation, but because it is from Zavvi, it looks suspect. The price however is a blatant gouge on consumer wallets

Disney tends to do that to the market.

I highly doubt this is Disney's doing.

They have shipped internationally for some time now. Roger Rabbit was something like 15 GBP. Aladdin was around 18 GBP. Now all of a sudden 23 GBP is okay?

I mean, I like Steelbooks, but gouging like that I'll just wait for the U.S. release, likely with a coupon. $20 or less with coupon vs. $30+ is no contest, Steelbook or not. Steelbook only gets maybe a $5 extra allowance on most titles, $10 if the Steelbook is ultra-rare. A 10k print run and pricing similar to a 3D release is simply no bueno.

Of course not, it's the Disney brand that everyone wants. We saw it, to a lesser degree, with Aladdin. In the grand scheme of things, the average price I pay for Zavvi exclusive(I only buy exclusives from them) steelbooks, is still pretty low....AND I've used a code with all my orders. So I don't mind tossing a few extra dollars Zavvi's way on the Disney steels. Now if prices rise this high, across the board, on their exclusives...well then it's time to reconsider.

Nothing fishy about it. Zavvi has to manually update the listings. They haven't figured out what an automatic threshold is.

Most people will be buying one of each, so they're going to sell out roughly the same time. Zavvi also sent an e-mail today, knowing they were low on allocation, to remind customers to get their order in as they knew it was going to sell out, if not today, tomorrow
