I get wanting to drive traffic into stores (with this coupon being in-store only), but it's still misguided. Almost all of their coupons can be used online or in store. Why not make all of them that way(?)

[Show spoiler]Just venting. I've been a member over 10 years. My receiving the 20% coupons has been sporadic (almost nonexistent the past couple years). I'm always ready to not renew the following year. They end up throwing me a bone, and I cave. Last year I got the two 20% snail mail coupons right before my membership was going to expire (conveniently got them then when I never receive them any other time).

In-store Criterion deals don't exist for me because my closest store is 60 miles away. When/if I do make a trip, most stores within a 120 mile radius aren't real free with the coupon stacking that makes Criterions a steal.

Anyway, after not receiving 20% coupons for a long time, I'd been doing multiple chats with them online over the past couple months. Sometimes they'd give me a generic 20% code that would work...sometimes it wouldn't ("already been used" error). They kept telling me they'd forward it up the chain and get it fixed. It seems fixed, as I've gotten a few 20%'ers in a row. But I wasted the one that was good for 2 days earlier this week. I usually shop at 12 AM -2 AM, right before it expires. I forgot this one expired at midnight for some reason. Now this one is in-store only. I was actually near a store today. Had I known there'd be an in-store only coupon, I would've used the 20% coupon I used 10 days ago on something else -- and I would've bought what I bought 10 days ago (the newer Walking With Dinosaurs DVD set) in-store today.

Getting the shaft with the 20% coupons really blows. Now that I'm finally getting them, I want to maximize their value and use every one. I wish this one could be used online.

Now get off my lawn!!
