You wouldn't request this if you've seen her lately

Yes, I've sunk from D-list to Z-list. I need more exposure. Help. Someone start an online petition.

As bad as some of the Friday the 13th films are I won't be watching this one if it ends up being a found footage film.

Between the matching his and her track marks on her and Ed's arms, yeah she's probably not stable enough to work in a film anymore. Shame.

If this is another found footage film I won't be seeing it. I have yet to really enjoy any film that used that style.

Hell, Imagine 31 Halloween's.
In real life, Jason would have been killed for good, at the conclusion of Friday the 13th (1980), not numerous of sequels afterwards.

I don't think it's really that bad a direction to take for now. The last reboot was just awful in my opinion. Sure, it had entertaining aspects, but this can bring something that while not FRESH, it would be for such a big horror icon like JASON.

Reinvent this, do it well so that people actually would go see a sequel.

There isn't anything more they can possibly do with the Friday the 13 franchise because, everything have already been done. A filmmaker can only do so much with Jason, without it being redundant as it is now.

I disagree somewhat. Just change the character completely outside of his basic appearance. Will the franchise ever be a huge hit again? Probably not, but if decent, box office has shown that films with minimal budgets in horror can make great profits. They just need one actual good film that has legit scares

Monica Keena, although really hot, is not the best final girl. Not a chance.

That honor goes to either Tina from The New Blood or Ginny from Part II. Nay?

Tina. Mediocre movie in the franchise, but clearly the best final girl.

Change his character appearance to whom - Wonder Woman? Jason Voorhees (the hockey masked serial killer) is going to be Jason Voorhees, regardless what they do to him. Friday the 13th wouldn't be Friday the 13th without him!

They need to tweak it up a bit though, maybe have him team up with his mother for double the suspense and double the kills. Definitely looking forward to it, even though they're basically ignoring the 2009 film which is my favourite Friday the 13th film to date.

Yup, Tina for sure. Although, I wouldn't call The New Blood mediocre. Very underrated entry in the series, IMO.

reread my sentence. I can see why you assumed I meant change his appearance, but i said change everything OUTSIDE of his appearance. That is just too iconic to change. They can tweak it of course, but the mask needs to be close.

That's all fine and dandy, but the film needs to be a little more than that as really, that's pretty much what the entire series has been. This day, for a film to last or create more, it needs to have more going for it than that if it isn't done all that well.

Or not make another sequel or a reboot at all because, Friday the 13th franchise has reached its peak. There is nothing else they can do with the story. The franchise already have 10 sequels, and a remake, so what more can they do? You can only milk a cow for so long, then it gets old, and tired. Let Friday the 13th R.I.P. Anymore reboots, or sequels, they're going to be the same...predictable.
